Hartmut,
willkommen at FerrariChat.
See I told you these guys are great!
Hope to see you at one of the next meetings. This time bring your wife!

Tom,
the spacers are mainly for looks. It makes the car look wider and may give you a better handling in corners, especially on the track.

I have ordered my spacers from Koenig-Specials. Their website is: www.koenig-specials.com. Mr. Koenig is well known in racing throughout Europe and also known as a good Tuner. William can attest to this, I think at one point he was thinking about the TR conversion kit from them.
My spacers for my 348 are 15mm on each side (about 5/8 inch each side) fronts and 30mm on each side rear.

I should get them any day now and will take pictures before and after so you guys can see what they do. All in all with shipping from Germany they have cost me a little over $ 500.

Hartmut -- another possible resource for you:

(I've not dealt with them personally so please give some feedback if you contact them).

Hartmut:

Premier Motorsport in Los Angeles has aluminum hubcentric spacers for your 355. Call Dave at (310) 559-1562 for pricing and sizes.

Hi Hartmut,

as a fellow German in L.A., I was shopping
around for some spacers for my 348, and
ended up getting them custom built by a
CNC shop. Price ~100$/pair. One inch offset,
they look great and work well.

They are available from Ferrari, but you
need longer lugs and the price is ~700$
plus price for the lugs (30$/piece if I remember
correctly!!!)

Another example of Ferrari extortionism...

I own a 1998 355 Spider and I am interested to assemble spacers to the front and rear tires. When I asked my Dealer for spacers he refused to discuss spacers at all. I am wondering because in Germany where I am from almost every Ferrari has spacers. Has anybody experience with US Ferrari Spacers and also which size is usually used. Can anybody recommend a good source where I can get them from? I am living in South Florida.
Thanks
