Jeff, looks so much classier in grey than black or blue.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. You can be sure I'll be driving and enjoying the car.

I'm having the car trucked to our house in the Phoenix area. This is our first winter in the desert and I hear for the next 5 months it is top-down driving weather. I'm hoping to meet other F owners in the area.

I got a black 360 coupe because I thought it will attract LESS attention. Well, after 1.5 year with the car, I found that I might as well have ordered the car in florescent green because of all the attention it attract on the road. One time, cruising back from a local FCA event, I drove by a tour bus. You cannot believe the amount of camera flashes going off from the bus! Situations like that are distracting but you just get used to it.

Gorgeous car, Jeff. Congrats!

Be forwarned. The gawkers, the lookers, the insane, the curious, the envious, the interrogator's, the picture takers and so on, will be all over you.

I have a yellow spider and I cannot describe adequately what attention this cars gets. You must be on the look out constantly because the beauty and sound of the car attracts so much attention that drivers do stupid things on the road.

Does it bother me? Somewhat; but I would not trade it or the experience for anything.

Your car is drop dead gorgeous. I love those wheels.

jim - it's not a "good ole boy" thing. it's a "repeat customer" thing. the car dealer can make more money selling you the Nth car than he'll make selling me the first. every day of the week. twice on sunday. it's just rational business.

and every dealer does it. the dealers that tell you "we never futz with the list" are yanking your chain into next week.

doody.

I'm a repeat cutomer at my grocery store, but when I come in they don't let me cut in front of the guy from out of town just because he is new.

The good ole boy system sucks when you ain't one of 'em. Who am I kidding, that 360 cost more than everything I own combined!

Beaut of a car. THink there is one in the new eddie murphy movie not sure if it is spyder or not.

rob - repeat customers should always get better priority. i'm on lists for all sorts of stuff, but i always expect that if i'm a first-timer there, i'm going to have to wait wait wait. there's nothing wrong with giving repeat customers "repeat customer treatment". they're running a business after all, not a socialist government agency :-)

This is what I don't like about the Ferrari dealers, Jeff was on the good end of the deal, how about all those on the list that are now waiting longer?

Congrats Jeff! It's better than perfect, it's a Ferrari.

Dave:

I thought trafficators were those little arms they had on Morris Minors instead of electric turn signals. Do you call all turn signals trafficators? Just wondering...

Al, I was on the wait list 11 months. The options are F1, electric seats, modular wheels, challenge grills, sheilds, red calipers and spare tire kit.

This is my second 360 so the wait was less than normal. Plus there were other circumstances that made the wait shorter. My dealer has always tried to be fair in our dealings.

There's an old adage, "It's not who you know but how well you know them." This can also shorten the wait.

Lovely car. recessed fender shields? Shame about those awful F/R side trafficators you US guys have to tolerate.
