A friend of mine bought a maserti kyalami off ebay for 24k. It needed some work, about $8k worth. Now, 8 months later its done. its a realy cool car. Its got some pep too from the 4.9l engine. Now hes selling it for $38k beacsue it isnt exactly a great first car for a kid in highschool. the moral of the story is that sometimes it seems like you get screwed, but it actually works out in your favor. |

Kevin, I can only say that when I was selling my 348 Challenge Car, the market for them was 50 to 70. I do understand that it has gone down since then. I will be at Summit Point for the Trackmaster event on the 28th and 29th, and possibly for the FCA event before then. Stop by if you see the trailer! |

Ok guys, I'm fessing up - I bought my current Mondial by bidding for it on ebay, sight unseen! The first time I laid eyes on it (other than pictures) was when the shipper opened the doors to his truck. However, I did my homework and it's proven to be a great car. There were a couple of items that needed to be fixed, namely the clutch and doors pins/supports but that's Ferraris for you. So chalk one up for ebay. |

I have seen the Squid Racing trailer at FoW track events at Summit Point. Probably saw your 348 C-car, too. What is a good price for a decent 348C? |

Of course the dealer was a pleasure to deal with, you had something they wanted (....to make the commission out of)

I had a great experience with Ebay. I listed my '94 348 factory challenge car on it, and got 15 emails right away. Ok, most were worthless, but one was a Ferrari dealer. We spoke on the phone for 5 minutes. He had a client who was looking for that exact car. They picked it up 2 days later, did a p.p.i., finalized the price, and it was sold. Actually, I will name the dealer. It was Ferrari of Washington. They were an absolute PLEASURE to deal with. For me, Ebay was a great venue to sell my car. Obviously, no one in the world is going to buy the car via Ebay by bidding for it, but Ebay is the best place to 'get the word out' about these types of cars. Ferrari Market Letter is a waste of time in my opinion. |
