My point exactly Terry. The car is a 30k car.Problem is nobody has 30k for one right now.I have 308's in the same condition with same extra's.Would not sell for under 30k.I know what it takes to get one in that condition.Seems buyers nowadays are looking at the lowest prices listed and think that is the most to pay.If they only knew what an unmaintained 18k car will really cost in the end$$$$$

I bought my '77 GTB in April of this year off of ebay for $24K. It has 46K miles, all books and service records and over $10K had been spent on a new clutch, full 30K service, water pump, and tons of other stuff. It did need new engine mounts and im fixing the A/C, but otherwise its really cherry. A great car.

I have since upgraded to a Millermon distributor and MSD. It also has a tubi that was on it when purchased. I would not sell for less than $30K. Hope this helps!

I think the market is better than you think on the gtb...I have been watching it, since I have a 82 gtbi and have been amazed at the prices on the hard top model. They seem to be creeping up at a fair amount of margin. I watch ebay and auto trader online. Dealer and individual pricing seems to be at a market high on 77-82 model gtbi's, maybe because of the low amount made. Most of the ones I have seen have been bringing more than the gtsi in the same pricing year. Check it out for yourself...have seen quite a few ads also buyers looking for gtb's.

Bruno, You are right the market is soft right now. I for one would not sell at these expected low prices. My car is a pleasure vechicle not a everyday driver that I trade every couple of years. However there may be someone who needs the money and will sacrifice the car. Things are getting tough out there.

It's worth mid to upper 20's In this economic climate. I wouldnt go over 22k.Cars are now selling for less than they are worth everyday. And before anybody says it,Yes I know "something is only worth what someone is willing to pay" However I know a lot of people that will not sell at these prices.

Thanks,
Jim
