Frank, He still works for me. A little older and a little wiser now. And a little shorter on cash too.

That's right Frank. The only way to get comprehensive accident info is to have a data sharing agreement with every insurance company in America. That isn't reasonable, and Polk has never been that free and easy with their data. Besides, their infrastructure is not state-of-the-art (I used to say that they were on the receding edge of technology). Even if they had the data the expense of creating and maintaining the file would drive the price for a CARFAX report out of site. |

Thanks for the info Bill, The Honda was a TX car, not a washed title from another state. Thats what Ive seen with some cars here. |

CARFAX only shows title, tax and emission info. So only if the car had a Salvage Title issued at one time would it help you find out about a previously wrecked car. |

Re: CARFAX I used to work in the vehicle database business. In fact, I was a senior executive of the company that now owns CARFAX (although they didn't own it at the time). It's been several years since I've been involved, but I'm pretty sure that CARFAX is based on state title information. Titles don't show normal fender benders or even major accidents. I would rely on CARFAX for mileage info and salvage title info, but that's about it. |

Frederick, thats what im talking about. I too could never buy a car without test driving it first. IMO thats one of the worst things one could do when buying an Fcar. Even more so with an older one, seeing how much they vary from ar to car. The guy selling this car is nothing but a theif, he knows damn well that this car suffered damage yet he claims that the car has no accident history. As had been said many a' time before (and as i learned in economics class) caveat empetor. (beware buyer) |

CAR FAX is CRAP. I had a young customer that bought a 1992 Honda Civic that had a heavy front end collision. The kid spent $2000.00 on a car that was worth less than $300.00. He wanted a rice racer & this is what I found. The frame was still bent, there were TOO many parts missing like the air conditioner, bumper reinforcements, absorber, hood would not open properly, screws to hold in the headlights were replace with zip ties!!!! No kidding. I talked to the kids mother to return the car due to the fact that this car was UNSAFE AT ANY SPEED. She then got a CAR FAX report stating that the car was never wrecked. only telling the last time it was inspected which was over 2 years ago. I will never trust CAR FAX due to this massive error. |

Sean thanks for the info. When I went to look at it the damage wasn't repaired properly. The gas tank was in need of replacement and the shifter was completely out. Please let us know if you have pics. |

Hello Guys, The Ferrari you are talking about vin# ZFFUA13A5E0052337 was crashed in Salt Lake City by a salesman of mine. The car was originally Marrone (met. brown) with dark tan seats. After the "incident" we sold the car as is to a Fred Hooper in AZ for approx. $15,000. Before the accident it was a very decent car. It sustained rear frame damage as it flew up onto some boulders backwards. The result of a high-speed spin. Just thought you would all like to know. I did have photos, I will check to see if I can find them. Sean

Ok, I e-mailed the poster of the car. I asked him about it and told him what I noticed. He informed me that it wasn't the same car as this one has been forsale before. I checked the VIN # and it is indeed the car I looked at. This guy is not honest in my opinion. It upsets me to see Ferraris misrepresented like this. Why can't people be honest. It is a shame. |

Ken to answer your question. This isn't a superior QV IMO. Look at the seat color it looks like it has been redyed numerous times. Plus with frame damage your are talking big bucks to fix it and that means it was in some form of wreck. Not superior in my mind. Does anyone know where the post was with all of the information on it? |

I remember this one on Ebay before. It said it had frame damage and it had bad pictures. It was in the low 20s on Ebay. I am not sure what it sold for but apparently he still has it. Greg wasn't he rude to you. Fill us in! |

$32k is the right price for a superior QV. What was wrong with it when you inspected it? |

It is on here again. Now with a high buy it now. The description is not accurate at all. Like I said I inspected it in person and I don't want to see anyone purchase this car and have to put lots of $$$ into it. The description makes it sound like a great car but it has no records and except for the one. This is the same car that was on consignment at a dealer. Buyer Beware!!!! |
