I've had nothing but good experiences with the folks at Steve Harris Imports. I purchased both my cars from them and get them serviced there, too. I think just about all of them down there check out Ferrarichat regularly.

Jim Conforti: You wanna swing by Harris and take a peek at teh black/black 328 chrome wheels for me? Nto sure what you can accomplish other than a visual. Know of any independant mechanics in the area to do a PPI?

"Steve Harris is a bunch of great guys"

Does he have multiple personalities, or what?

Got an email from Sean and he was very helpful and nice. Got some private feedback that was less than positive on several accounts. Not sure if it was a few deals that got mucked up, crossed communications/expectations or what. I guess you can't please 100% of the folks all the time, but it is nice to have varied opinions as well.

To answer your question Jim C. I was always interested in Ferraris but wanted to start off with something a little 'less expensive' and 'less exotic' I saw they had a used Viper for sale so that's what brought me into the showroom. Once there, I saw the Ferraris first hand and the rest is history.

OK, one just HAS to ask.

How do you go into a place looking for a Viper
and end up coming out w/ a 348ts.

Sort of like going in looking for a steak and
coming out with a television?!?

(Sorry, just have to ask)

Here is their reply. I stand corrected! Sorry for the confusion. I am messing with some money issues on my end so not ready to look yet, but if I do that would be great JimC. Heck go by and see it if you want just for fun...but don't buy it!

Hello,

Our car just had a 30K service, Timing Belts and tensioner bearings,
Waterpump, new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. This car has
had everything. I think when you are looking at a difference of just a few
thousand miles the service work we have done on this car makes it a great
deal. We can get close to $42,000.00 and we stand behind our work. Please
let me know if there are any further questions I can answer for you.

I beg to differ. Steve Harris is a bunch of great guys. When I walked in there to look at a Viper, they took the time to show me around and let me test drive a few cars and I eventually walked out with a 348TS. I wasn't expecting that level of service to be honest, but they surprised me. From sales to the service people. Ask for Tim, great guy.

Let me know what reply you get from Steve
Harris when you get one.

I'll be happy to go down there and look over
the car quickly for you.

They are about 6 miles from me.

wait, wait, wait! Crap I got the wrong person listed. Got the reply from an individual selling one for $51K and I said $42K. Sorry Steve Harris, my fault. Damn those anonomous email addresses!!!!

Saw an ad for 328 gts $43,800 44K miles blk/blk chrome wheels. Looks like a nice car. I have seen 2 go for $42K in the last week with similar histories. Anyway I write them and ask what price flexibility they have and they reply with "you are spending too much time on ebay". That's it.

I don't have a problem with them asking full price or not being flexible, but if they are asking $43,800 and I just mention $38-40K should they get mad? I have always thought that if the seller accepts your first offer you paid too much. Besides I would pay $42K maybe, but you gotta start somewhere. Should I just call up and ask what their address is so I can mail my check for full price?
