Translation of his page according to google for those interested. And, no, it's not a perfect translation! heh

I could make still hours so further!!

It is ingenious sooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

Thus now the first report, the first and second daily!

Small Toppi comes punctually at 17 o'clock to the landlord and as I in such a way drives sees I yellow 360 Modena before the Tuere. I imagined still, hui - in yellow he looks in addition, rather ingeniously out, (behind it stood the 550 Maranello). Well well, I place mean in this moment mickrigen BMW there and schau inconspicuously into the 360er - which seh I there - F1 circuit! Well well, thus I knew already times, which is it surely not it stood which it normal circuit has. I to the landlord and looked thus purely first once amusingly! IT probably expected someone older. But then nevertheless friendly, he explained to me everything and asked themselves whether I already once with a Sptrwagen drove and I have him stop of the M3, tells 996 and the Honda S2000 (was this incoming goods quasi to warm up) to which. That pleased him then eh and we is to the car raus. Suddenly it steered with me to the yellow 360er?! I first were not at all been versed, but he meant the yellow real tremendously! (I write from now on only more small, I hope it disturbs nobody)
Naja, after short first day at school on the vehicle (is good briefly, he has me each button avowedly) istz he disappeared and wished me still much fun! I thus purely into the Ferrari - and my first aha experience-eat - there is really much place inside (the trunk only - really impressing). Well well I start the engine and drive there comfortably away....

but already soon I then times gas gave!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I had first genuinly fear me the engine in move jump! this noise!!! unbelievably!! I am genuinly addicted then oh! I already repeatedly Ferraris saw, but ever who gave gas as correctly and that has me always annoyed - naja, if someone were the strassse on on the way that also always in such a way went, geht's it since yesterday no longer so, because I gas gave - and as!!!

Naja, first away has me to me into the company led (my friend to still work there had) I believes the half company is before the building confessed (naja, that is exaggerated, but my 3/4 department of stop.) thus good, I stop with 4 people a small round (again with tidy gas employment) drove and all was naturally brightly inspired! (2 women and 2 men....)
well well, then to the company with my friend, since my small brother waited there for me, there it flew today to France and before it naturally still with the Ferrari to ride along wanted... (is clearly!)
then already my friend came and we into the Viennese heurigen area drove, since we on look for a nice heurigen were - short asks occasionally: do sports car drivers greet each other as motorradfahrer? a m3 driver has that so made... naja, all the same - in any case then eione building site to away and somehow was had I then also no more desire and we is again back into the city to the dwelling of my friend... that was then funny! my friend has herself so geniert in the car, because the emotions and looks the people were so bad - a smaller young has itself in the middle at the gehsteig (I am confessed with the red traffic light) on the soil geschmissen and the car angebetet... (embarrassingly, embarrassingly - in the middle on the mariahilfer road in vienna!) well well then we are well eat gone and then let us have I the car super as one see in-parked!! (the 2 cars are already confessed!! not at all so easily with the thing - I am so proud on me (one considers the distance to the edging )

and then I from the 3 stick from the dwelling people observed! it is genuinly ingeniously like the people to out-twitch because of the car and like all looks and which they all talk.... however actually throughout positively....
naja, we slept then with open window and my friend me told (I have naturally nix received) in the middle at the night 2 times a few young people as according to geschrien to have as them the car did not see them not to sleep could before noise.... funny anyhow.

Naja, on the next day - thus today I am then to me home, better said after Viennese again city and am I then stop with all there mean befriend a few round driven....
thus I then spent quasi all day long, until we constituted ourselves around 6 with a friend, which we a nice small drive out now make - clou: the friend has 993 Carrera a 4S somewhat modified with mega exhaust plant... in such a way we then thus into corso (in the relatively rapid corso) to an ingenious locally drove!! that was perhaps a geile travel!!! (achja, case a policeman or sowas along - we to the speed limit adhered naturally always strict - which otherwise!!!)
naja, anyhow were there already a few nice highways at away - and I must say the Ferrari go better, but.... there are not really much by the way also videos of drives - not in super the mega top quality, but - I want to work on them only before somewhat - characteristics and nevertheless so.... (if it gives there more koenner, which I already know a little and which I trust....)
naja, in any case we have all look on to us pulled and it were so funny to be observed, if it around hit a corner is curved (in the mega drift and eienm the Ferrari equal sound (naja, nearly stop )) and the people it to have checked and then the view as I still behind him..... simply only ingeniously - sowas I would have always wished myself as a spectator - as a driver would have I came it me anyway never dreamed of....

naja, in the evening again back in Viennese again city the disillusionment (or as is called) a policeman has me in the middle in a cinema center before surely 50 people in the free stopped because I was allegedly too fast - which I was however in the case genuinly not - only according to stop I have naturally said whom I not too fast drove and then has it still said whom I in addition in the roundabout did not flash.... well well, I has not at all with it argued - have 21euro because of not to flash and 21 euro because of the alleged too fast not drive paid. then he to me still said (or wars even before already) which he finds me totally unsympathisch and which finds so embarrassing.... naja, there am I then become out due and have it before all people there a little exposed - to him obviously pain and I did was halfway lucky! (however he gets tomorrow also still eienn letter of the lawyer - that I take did not let only around it to annoy makes itself for me a friend - evenly lawyer.... )
well well, I then again into the city (it me by the way still zeiterl pursued (I naturally with the first 50 driven * ggg *) and always good flashed....
then is it finally stands remained and which is, me another police car with blue light already continues to pursue 100 meters...
those must have been genuinly boring - or they wanted to look at themselves the car, or they which by radio heard

then I was finally sour (they were however eh quite friendly) and have mean friend step out to let and home drove (on away still with the lawyer telephoned and everything for tomorrow gecheckt - at least work I want to make for the policeman )

naja, and the Ferrari stands now before the tuere and I has nix better to do to uppen and you all this write than a few pictures only for you!

I insert here however no pictures, but make a new thread, with same text and pictures!!!

so, good night & WWWWRRRROOOOOOOOOOOM

Toppi

Enclosed the photos: (there are still hundred others, but unfortunately have I only one cable there and my friend at a newspaper works and good photos made, must these only on notebook overact! - are with 3 cameras on the way

by the way - every year theres a "lottery" in austria where you can win a f360 forever!!
its during the austrian f1 grand prix from a austrian radio station..
the winners from 2002 + 2001 sold the cars after driving them for some weeks for much more than the car is worth..... :-)

Hi!
I wrote something today, but unfortunately its not here anymore :-(

guys, cool down - i didnt win the F360 for ever - just for 2.5 days :-( and these 2.5 days where the greatest i ever had!!!

in austria you have to pay taxes for everything you win - even i have to pay these wintaxes - my price was worth about 1500 Euro and ill have to pay about 150 Euro....
if you win a 360 forever youll have to pay 10% taxes.
the company where you win the car cant pay the taxes for you - even if they want to...

but - if you win another car that is less worth they are allowed to pay the taxes...

So if you want to read my experiences with the car, you can read them at carpassion: http://www.carpassion.com/de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4153
but its german, and i think i wont handle it to translate it ;) (but if somebody wants to translate it - fell free to do it!)

If somebody wants to see some pictures (and videos!) of the best 2.5 days in my life you can see it at:
www.cybersale.at/Ferrari
www.cybersale.at/Ferrariges
www.cybersale.at/f360vid

greets

Toppi

PS: Sorry for my bad english! :-)

Well " IF " the give away was legit, and " IF " I won the car, you bet I would keep it! Hey I would find a way to pay the taxes. Only, and I mean ONLY, if the taxes were so high that it wouldn't make financial sence to keep it, then would I sell it. But I really don't think that the taxes would be so outrageous that you couldn't come up with a few thousand bucks.

I must say that is one thing I envy about Canada is the "tax free" status of lotteries. I have entered a few recently and think that is pretty neat. Unfortunately I will still have to pay US taxes when I bring my (hoped for) winnings back home...

David I don't think that's true. Ferrari of Ontario gave away a 550 Maranello this year for the Sick Kids Hospital Raffle, and yes someone kept it! Actually for the past several years they've given away cars, last year it was a 456 and previous to that a 360. Lotto winnings are tax free in Canada!

I don't think I could go from a Ferrari to a Vette! At least he should get a 328 or 348...

You could win it, sell it and pay the taxes, and still have enough for His and Hers Corvettes. That's what I would do.

Hmmm andrew, you got a point there.
In Holland too, the money prizes in lottery's are tax free (most of the time)... But I wonder if this would count for materialistic prizes too.

David: I'm sure you're right on that one, but judging from the pictures, the car already had 10.000 km on it, so its problably not new.

Joe: I like that idea of splitting tax costs and sharing the car with some friends. should be a blast.

Been "lurking" for a while...I fly thru heathrow in the uk often and there is a company who has "contests" for high level cars all the time, they are based outside the BA lounge, and yes I would keep the car atleast for a little while..

According to FNA, if you see a 360 in a raffle it is a con... As Ferrari will not allow a new Ferrari to be raffled.
Ask me how I know....
Chris Sawyerr sleeps with the fish.

At any rate the taxes you would pay are based on your income.
If at tax time your adjusted income is $200,000.00 and you add say a prize of $175,000.00, then you would be paying taxes on $375,000.00
If you had a good acountant you could add the car to your business and expense out the taxes as a business expense to offset the income.

The prize taxes on a new Modena would probably run about $60k. If I remember right, you pay at least 40% in prize tax. Even though I would love to have a 360, I would probably sell it, pay off the taxes, buy a 328 or 348 and use the rest of the money for something else.

wow, not many takers huh?

I don't see why one wouldn't keep it. Well about the taxes, true, I didnt think about that.
Still, getting rid of it seems just not right.

In my position, I would problably hand it to my father, let him pay the taxes, and let him ride around in it untill I finish my education. Then after I found a good job I'd pay him the tax money back, and kindly ask him the keys back. (thats the hardest part)

More importantly, if you sell it, the money will problably go somewhere... investments or the like. You might never again be in the position to buy a 360, or any other ferrari for that matter.

But I could be wrong.

I can't believe they actually give them away when you win it. I always thought they just said no one won, or went along Chris' raffle ways. Although I really wouldn't mind having a 360, I think at this point in my life I would do the same thing. Take the money, invest it (one day the stock market will go up, right...) and wait til I'm done with school. It would be a shame, but it just wouldn't fit my life now. Being as I don't enter any of these contest I don't think I have to worry about winning though, although I think I'm gonna start playing the lottery...

Don't you have to pay BIG taxes on a prize like that? And the amount of taxes must be considerable. Maybe he sold it, paid the taxes, and pocketed the rest. Better than never having won it. At least you have some memories and some cash to keep. But it does seem kind of silly to enter a lottery knowing that you couldn't pay the taxes on the prize even if you won it. So how IS Chris Sawyerr doing anyway?

I was just surfing the web a little when I stumbled upon this page;

http://www.carpassion.com/en/car.php?c=90

Now this just totally freaked me out. This guy wins a 360, and gets rid of it within 2.5 days.
-Unbelievable-

I just can not... aaaargh, really. No words for it.
