I had the pleasure of meeting Tim yesterday and saw the workshop and garage first hand. The pics below only show about 1/3 of the set up and it's even better in person! I think I need to figure out a way to adapt that 500hp Suburu engine to a street car. Ricers beware!

Thanks for the visit Tim, I enjoyed it. Maybe next time we can go for a spin in the F40 and discuss adreneline!

Tim - this is incredible. Better than Team Olive Garden's set up at ALMS. And an F40 and 360C to boot. You are my new hero!

Tim

You need to have a B.B.Q. and hand out little red jump suits at the door. Tell everyone that today's recreational group activity is called "change my clutch"

You'll be technical director off course ;-)

Robert, email me, my garage will begin construction within a month and hopefully finished within a few. I'm very price sensitive though!

the 360 tail is from my little rub with the wall at the race track in my 360C. minor damage but had to be replaced.

my son and I built the table from 4x4's, 2x4's and plywood. then I got the idea to put a sheet of aluminum on top and the diamond plate around the sides. so I cut an inch of the 4x8 sheet of plywood all the way around and had a metal place bend all four edges of the aluminum plate over one inch. they also cut some scrap diamond plate for me for the sides. affixed the sides with screws and liquid naild the top.

BTW - the red on both benches is Rustoleum "Safety Red" stock color in any store and comes in pints, gallons and spray cans and they all match perfect every time I buy a new can and the red is close to F red as you can see. rustoleum also has safety yellow which works well for accents.

these pics are from the day they finished installing the cabinets, I am well on my way getting tools moved in, shelves added etc. I'll take more pics when I take the other from the main garage in about a month or so. I'm having a blast putting this thing together.

I also just noticed the 360 rear bumper laying on the floor! Already using the room, I see!

Again, VERY NICE!

Tim,
You should have emailed me. I am a kitchen designer, and have done Ferrari Red cabinets for a garage. In fact one of the cabinet lines that I carry, it is not even an upcharge, and it is a dead on match.

So anyone else out there wanting red cabinets please let me know.

Tim,
Sweet workspace!
Curious...The diamond plate table in the center, is that a "break-down" table? Who makes it, or even better, where'd you buy it. I've been looking for somthing like that for a while.

Thanks,
David

Tim G,

When I saw the pics of the workshop I thought, wow, very nice indeed but not a lot of room around that lift,

When I read the description of your garage I thought

JEEZ...YOU ARE THE MAN!

Have you added space to wash the cars inside? I'm curious as this is a feature I have always wanted in a garage.

You'll have to take more pictures when the rest is ready! ;)

The lift is made my a company called "Western Lifts" $2800. installed. I have what they call "porsche arms" on order, they give you the ability to get under a car with only 2 1/2" clearence.

If you like it, copy it, I'd be flattered.

tool box is just a sears craftsman with tools of the same.

floor is done with a two part epoxy from a dunn edwards. my painter installed it for $1.00 per foot including material and guarantees it for 10 years.

this is just the work shop. no cars will be parked in here. the garage is thru the door to the right and measures 50' X 50' X 18' tall with two 21' x 16' doors. shop and garage are evap cooled. the main garage should be cleaned up and ready for pics in about a month. some features are: stereo system, 10'X 10' screen with projector and full surround sound, refridgerator, bathroom, washer dryer for dirty rags, same cabinets as workshop and same floor except for 25'X 30" area of grey and black checker Kiwi tile, two seperate sink area's, airlines run throught. and adding more every day. pics of the main garage soon.

What did you finish the floor with? I am looking at some stuff out of the Griots catalogue. Is that it?

All that is missing is a red flat panel monitor hanging from the ceiling showing your lap times...

Is that a garage or the kitchen of a 5 star restaurant? I could live better in your new garage than I could in my apartment. When can I move in? Incredibly nice! Please don't tell us that you have anything less than a Snap-On tool cabinet.
