Ferrari provides their own mechanics to work on the engine. I don't think that Sauber can even touch the engine, it must be done by the Ferrari guys. I've also heard that the rear suspension is last year Ferrari, among other things! |

they supply the engine at a cost ...and Peter Sauber would love not to pay for an engine , so it wont surprise me if tomorrow He gets approached by a manufacturer .. |

Well, I wouldn't state it that strongly. After all the car is produced in house in Hinwil, Switzerland with their own wind tunnel and all. Ferrari Engine yes and I believe since last year also the rear suspension, which made the car immediately quicker, but Swiss monocoque. |

Sauber is basically Ferrari. They supply the engine and support for the team (1 truckload according to Forza) so it doesn't surprise me that Massa would slide over to Ferrari. It's a way of developing future drivers. |

Just heard that from a Swiss Newspaper (Blick, horrible paper, but their F1 reporter Roger Benoit normally knows what he is talking about): Todt made good on a year old option and took in Massa from Sauber as their new test driver. Burti has been sacked, Luca stays. Now it comes in handy for me, that I got a Massa autograph a year ago from Sauber ;-) |
