Several write-ups on the web, the hour is late but off the top of my head, I would say take a look at http://www.fca-se.org/concours.htm or something like that and your checklist will be full. |

Found interesting. How you F owners prep their cars for competition. Any thoughts on Lawrence's product list. I would probably use the Ital wax and stay away from Armorall. Any one else with Concours winning detail secrets? Frank Lawrence Michaels (Lxmichaels1) Posted on Thursday, July 19, 2001 - 11:19 pm: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With the Concorso Italiano approaching, I thought I'd see what kind of "show-off" prep & detailing others here do. My sequence so far is: 1- Wash with Turtle Wax liquid gold car wash. 2- Shammy it off 3- Slow ordital, light touch with Maquirer's #9 polish 4- Another cycle with Maquirer's #7 Deep Showcar Glaze 5- Final coat with Zymol beeswax polish 6- Armorall on the crinkle paint surfaces (Julian's Idea) Looks like liquid ruby glass. Anyone got any special tricks for the ultimate sparkle? Anyone wash engine/engine compartment with a simple green solution? |
