I'd love to keep it, but it's for sale. I buy & sell Ferraris in something between a hobby & a part time job. -Jeff [email protected] |

Jeff, Are you selling your newly acquired 360, or have you chnaged your mind; since it's listed on your site as part of the inventory?

Hi- I tried to post on this earlier, perhaps my foot slipped off the clutch... Anyway, wholesale on Jscott's car is about 35 (red would add about 4k, it sucks, but it's true) Full retail on it I would estimate at $43 unless you happened to find a guy that's been looking for a white/red 328 for some time. It does happen. It's easy to put the car up on eBay and gauge the demand for it, you may sell it and worst case, you're out 41 bucks. Regarding 355 Spiders, the market is really weak this month. A very nice 97 355 should be able to be bought in the 100-105 range. It's all supply and demand with the prancing horse. -Jeff [email protected] 512-263-8283 |

For those that don't know me well, I'm a perpetual optimist. I've heard of some decent Black 328's on the west coast now going for $42,500. So I thought it reasonable that if you pay $110k for a Spider, that they would give you $50k. I guess either way, $100 and $40 or $110 and $50, the difference is still about $60k. |

If you have in yout heart what is represented by the "fishlike plate" on JScotts car, you get much more than an extra $10k.You get eternity in the presence of the Lord. Amen |

Rob: $ 52,000 for JScotts 328? in white? With a fish license plate frame? Rob, please sell my 328GTS with only 21K MIles for $45,000 because I can not get a buyer for the car. Two owners only and its red/tan. My take is $40K for your 328 and $100K for the 355 Spider. $60K cash you you should have a deal.

Oh, I think mentally cars over 50k (which mine just passed) have more of a challenge, but 80% of the cars you see for sale are between 25-45k miles. So within that range, I think your pricing should be standard. |

Well, thanks to all. I agree, there is probably still some depreciation left in the 355. I am motivated by the increased power but my 328 is in great shape. Maybe it is just smarter to wait a couple of years and let the 355 come down a little. I agree that the 328 value is pretty firm. In fact, the last "Sports Car Market" magazine price survey showed the 328 to have appreciated 11% in the past year. I will toy with the idea a little and I appreciate your input. So many opportunities, so little time! Rob or anyone else, what do you think about milage? Currently I have about 36K and intend to put about 3K a year on the car. How does this impact value? BTW, I am very meticulous about the service. |

$110k minus $52k = $58k cash + 328. The 328 will be worth $52k in two years, the 355 will be worth about $90k. |

Curious to see the outcome because my next car at this point will be a 355 Spider as well...not for probably a couple of years...still having too much fun! Good luck Scott. Cheers TTG |

David, I've got to believe that for the next 5 years, the 355 will have depreciation left in it. The 95-96 GTBs that are 90-95 right now may get down to 75-80 in 4-5 years. Just my thoughts... |

J In the 8 cyl 2 seater F-car market it seems like there is a pretty big gap between prices for the 328-,48 and the 355; More than any other model line (about a $20K gap). I cant help but wonder if the 355 still has a little depreciation left in it where your 328 would obviously have none.

Ken: not an even trade, I am just trying to figure out how much cash is reasonable. |

Sorry...got my 355 spider numbers mixed up with the GTB. My guess is that a 97 355 spider is probably going to be around $115k. But that just makes the deal seem even more strange if it is an even trade.

How much will you be paying for the 355? An '89 328 might fetch around $55-60k (at the high end - its a buyer's market right now) when you sell to a private person. On trade it would get get less. If this is an even trade, I would run away screaming because there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with the 355. A 355 spider of that vintage in good shape would probably go for at least $90-95k. Just my 2 cents from watching the market closely for about the last year.

I have the possibility of trading my 89 328, with 35000 miles and a fresh major service done, for a 97 355 Spider with under 15K miles. What would be a fair trade in your opinion? I'm told that the 355 has a fresh service as well. Any thoughts? Thanks |
