Art still has his F50GT.

Art and I ran at Cal Speedway this year (with William passing us on a regular basis).

Art stays very busy, we have tried to schedule some times to get together again, but business conflicts have prevented that from happening.

By the way, anyone know what happened to Art Zaufiripaulo's F50 GT? Does he still have it or what

6900 miles. Damn that's a lot for an F50.

i don't know why he has to pay back money. i wouldn't guess that money was stolen. the way i heard it, he simply has to repay money-more along the lines that he had a credit line and now that he no longer works there, he has to repay the money. i haven't heard of anything sinister like what happened at enron. i believe he was let go based upon poor stock performance and the companies allocation of resources towards racing.

Oh thats really sad news ! He had an amazing ferrari collection . Why does he have to pay money back to Sietel ? He stole money from the company ? or just ran it badly ?

I talked to Ferrari of Houston today, they own Paul's F50. They are asking $675,000. The car has 6,900 miles.

Paul sold his F40 a few years ago, I hate to hear he is in trouble. When I first got into Ferrari's with my 308, I met Paul at Texas World and he was very nice to me. The few times I met him again, he was always a pleasure to be around.

This is sad, he was a great Ferrari owner.

(I was high bidder on his challenge car when they cancelled the auction early)

William, thanks for the information, it was interesting when I used to read about him in MT. I thought wow, what a maverick sets up a company and indulges himself with our favorite hobby the F-Cars. Its a shame that these things happen, but thats life and if he did the wrong things than he should be held accountable.

after taking sietel public, paul was subject to the shareholders determination of his ability to run his business. when it was privately held, he was not accountable to anyone. paul was recently terminated from sietel. in houston, he has been liquidating his ferrari collection. supposedly, he has to pay back a lot of money to sietel. where better to get money from quick than to liquidate assets, especially the flashier ones. after all, it is difficult to convince people that you are down and out when you have half dozen ferraris sitting in the garage. my information comes from a former employee of his who took care of his cars.

as for his girlfriend, i have never heard that they were married and she was known to drive his cars frequently. when he receieved the f50, i beleive she was driving his 355 around the track for the photo ops.

Oh,
nice car.
Euro model though! Not that there is warranty with them anyway.

Nice hit. New at $180,000 now selling $120,000 and has not been used much!

If his F40 is for sale you can pick that one up cheap I bet! Whoever is interested should give this guy a call. Looks like he is in deep sh*t.

I don't know about the F40 but I was reading the message board on the SEI (yahoo markets site) and apparently he is in hotwater. Sounds like another Enron thief, using the stockholders money to enjoy his hobbies. I originally thought this was a private company that he founded not a public company that he may have looted.

What about his F40? Is that for sale too? Or was it sold already?

Actually, I think he might be involved in a bit of a financial lawsuit with his ex-company Seitel. I don't believe he was married from what I read about him and his cars in MT magazine, but he did have a nice collection.

I noticed on E-Bay that Paul Frame was selling his challenge car and in Autoweek (may have been L.A. Times) his F50 (First Yellow car in U.S.A.). Has anyone else heard about this?
