Apples and oranges - V12 or V8, front engine or mid-engine, convertable or coupe. I have a 400i and really like it because I am 6'4" tall. Whatever you do though get the 5-speed in the 412i for two reasons - better re-sale and more fun. |

In that case, T Cab has plenty of room in back/trunk for kids stuff. Avoid 91+ as they have the mouse driven belts and place the shoulder harness in the center section of the rear of the car. Attending to the little ones with those in place is a bit of a nightmare. (Had a 92...) I put Sparco harnesses in the back of mine to lock the kids down and use bottom only boosters. - JMG |

I'm 6'2" and had plenty of headroom in my 400i. One caution though, All 400's and 412's are grey market cars. Depending on where you live, this can be a problem to get through the inspection. I gave up the 400 and got a Daytona, which is old enough to bypass inspection. The 412 is a great underrated car, nothing beats a V12. I'm currently looking for a 412 to use in Europe. Good luck |

How old are your kids and how tall are you? My T Cab is perfect for the family but kids are 4 & 6. Much larger and it would be very tight... |

You might want to buzz Rodney Haas. He has a 365 GT4 2+2, which is the predecessor to the 412i, and might have some insight. Look in the Texas section for contact info. |

Wife insisted it be a 4 seat. For some reason she wants to bring the kids along. So I am very limited. |

With a t I guess you are looking at a cab - there are a few coupes but not many. If you like the styling of the 412 then it is a great buy for a twelve though servicing can be expensive. Though the mondi t needs to have engine out for its majors. I think the 412 is more a gentlemans true touring car. The T is a little more sporty |

Hello Matt. I am new to this group and just saw your post. I dont know anything about the 412i, but, I did last week just upgrade from a 1982 Mondial to a 1991 T. I love it. It is so much faster and different than the 1982. 9 Years made a huge difference.

I got the o.k. from the wife to get another F-car and I am looking at the 412i or the mondial t. Advice about the pros and cons of each? M |
