The one problem with recording that way is the sound from the dyno... I much prefer doing an engine bay mic, a cabin mic, and a stereo nat sound exterior mic while on a track... that way you can edit between the sounds and get a nice feel for what it sounds like inside the cabin while driving, what the engine sounds like while reving, and great sound as the car drives by... I find it rather borring listening to a mustang dyno turning down. |

a local (hmm) company here in WA is looking to record the audio from an f40 for an upcoming project. Basically this consists of putting the car on a dyno with some microphones placed around and inside the car. you are the only person in the car "driving". I've let them use my f50 and there are some other nice cars rolling by and "so far, so fun". if you're interested, please email me [email protected]
