And I thought I was the only one whose glove box strut didn't work. See McMaster-Carr item headings for "gas springs and dampers" - they have all sizes, including miniatures. |

Check www.mcmaster.com. They have pneumatic cylinders of all sizes. Don't know about ones small enough for glove box but they probably have them for the rear bonnet. |

For my 308, I took one off the engine cover, took it to my local PepBoys and with the help of the parts counter guy, matched it with one they stocked. They work great and cost about $45/pair. |

Try your local Discount Auto Parts store. Look in the lift catalog. There is a listing for the 348. They will probably need to be ordered. Most of their lifts are about $20. Some day I will replace mine, until then I will keep using the slotted plastic pipe to hold the rear deck open. |

Don't even bother with the glove box shock. It costs about $45 and lasts about 2 months. |

I got my rear bonnet lifts from T. Rutlands. Don't remember how they compared cost wise, but very convenient. Mark McKenzie |

Anyone know where I can find the lift shocks for the glove box and rear bonnet on a 348? I am hoping to find something cheaper than the Ferrari dealer. Maybe they are the same as the hood shocks on a 1976 pinto...Oh, I think they used springs back then. Thanks in advance! |
