Emmitt Smith is from my hometown here in Pensacola, Florida. I wish he still lived here because I have yet to see one. Good guy from what I hear. Also this is my first post here. Been watching the forum for a while but haven't posted. My names Matt LaMotte, avid ferrari fan with hardly any money. Anyone ever this way please let me know. I rarely get to see any Ferrari's except for a 360 and an older Testarrossa (sorry if spelled wrong) every few months. Love to meet any of you. |

I saw the video the other night of Emmitt and his wife leaving the stadium in a sports car, but I couldn't tell what kind of car it was. I saw the chrome shift plate and the interior color, but thats about it. Glad it's something cool, he's earned it. |

Payton went to the same college that I graduated from: Jackson State University. My uncle played ball with him for a while in Chicago. |

Just think if Payton would have had 340lbs of Nate Newton and the rest of those fat asses for a front line. I don't even put Emmitt in the top five, maybe not even in the top ten. Payton Barry Sanders Jim Brown Gale Sayers Earl Campbell I guess that murderer was pretty good but I can't seem to remember his name. |

Plus Mr. Payton tried his hand at Trans-Am racing, and briefly was involved in the ownership of an IndyCar team if I'm not mistaken. Emmitt Smith might have the record, but Sweetness will always be the greatest--well, him and Joe Delaney of the Chiefs anyways... |

Walter Payton stayed in the area when he retired. You'd see him in the supermarket at night with his kids doing grocery shopping. He'd always chat with you and give an autograph. He always had a few autographed footballs in his car he'd give to kids too. He lived just a few miles from me in Arlington Heights, IL. No one in Chicago gave so much back to the community as he did. |

Met Barry Sanders on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale, he was playing with a toy airplane with his young son. Very polite and discreet. Emmitt is a nice guy too, but this record has been the asswhip of Dallas for months now. Thank god it is over. I dont like people trying to set records. I like records being set in the natural flow of the game and then they look back and go WOW! guess what you just did?!?! |

Emmitt ordered the car last spring but wouldn't take delivery until he had the record. Personally, I'm a Barry Sanders fan but Emmitt seems to be a real gentleman. |

Emmitt lives about 2 or 3 miles from me on same street, but trust me the house values go down by 10 when you get to my area! Drove by his house 1 day and he was out front trying to fix his automatic gate. |

Jim, that is correct. My former boss in Chesapeake, VA is married to her aunt. She was Ms. Portsmouth, VA a few years back and went to high school with a bunch of my buddies. My boss used to tell me stories about the incredible lifestyles of Martin and Emmitt. Pretty wild. Kevin |

When Emmitt Smith broke the all time rushing yards record Sunday his wife Pat presented him with a new Cowboy blue Lambo Murci. Apparently she leased it. There was talk on a local sports radio show about how you would feel if your wife presented you with a $250K gift paid for with your own money. Then somebody said she used to be married to Martin Lawrence so maybe she got money from him! |
