i think they use BBS because it's a sponsorship deal, didn't the 355 challenge cars use speedline as did the f1 cars at the time?are the wheels on the V12 cars speedline or BBS?i've seen 19" wheels on 355's in the dupont registry but don't know how it affects ride quality.i guess it depends on the condition of your local roads.i think speedline aliseos look awesome on 355's imho. just my .02 |

The F1 cars also use BBS wheels. It has something to do with sponsorship. Challenge cars have them probably to keep the sponsor happy. |

I believe the BBS's are light weight one piece forged wheels, as opposed to the HRE/Kinesis or even Fikse wheels which are 3 piece and made of different castings/forging to get the large wheel. Challenge wheels, I cannot say for sure or not, would be racing wheels which are lighter and a bit softer - which means that pothole in the city will make a harder bite than the your factory wheels. There is always a limitation with forging wheels to a particular size, and HRE & Kinesis make the three pieces: 1) & 2) rim welded together to make a wider rim and 3) center/hub piece. bolted onto the rim. As for 19" on the 355, I'm quite sure they'll work, but its up to you to cut back on drivability wherever you live. They can bend easily on bumps and the ride is more precise/harsher depending on how you look at it. |

I have heard that HRE rims are the rims to own. Why do the challenge cars ride on BBS??? Someone out there please educate me... Will 19inch rims fit on 355? |
