Chris,

Photoshop all the way. First I outline the car and duplicate it. Then I add a motion blur to the background, to give the image the feeling of motion.

Below are two other photos of my babies that I took the same day.

Marcus,

Sorry, no comments about the M3, but how did you take that picture. It's cool. The cars weren't rolling, were they? Can you explain how the background is blurry, but the cars sharp.

Nice pic. What a sweet car. Too bad they're giving the manual the axe in the name of emissions.

hey thanks edward, today i won ten dollars and bought some lotto tickets, so if things change ill be able to begin my car collection. as the new i6 m3 engine is already fully stressed the most i would ever contemplate is maybe a chip and exhaust. anything more would probably result in a blown engine. i wish i could get my hands on a 911 turbo because of their tunability. ruf, gemballa, techart, autothority have cars ranging from 500 to 850 bhp and daily drivable...

If I lived somewhere that didn't snow I would ditch the jeep and get a 95-97 M3, the kid across the street from me has a silver one, what a sweet car. I got to drive it once (a girl I know has one), such a sneaky fast compared to the Fcars. The new M3 is obviously faster, but I kind of like the old one for some reason even though it isn't as nice in anyway. Two of my friends have the new M3s (one stick, one SMG), both are very cool although I prefer the stick.

My 1993 325is has...

M3 wheels
M3 rear spoiler
Super Sprint DTM exhaust
Koni adjustable sport shocks
K&N
4 point harnas

...of course I have to fit within SCCA stock autocross rules. If I get another autocross car or retire, I might think about a ERT turbo. You can't even really tell it's under the hood.

Neil,
Welcome to our site! (Note:I am presently shopping for a BMW for my girlfriend. I would like for her to get an 850i from the late 1980's, but she wants a later 1999 5 series.)

Check out the prices now for a piece of Maranello Magic. I have seen a very nice 308GT4 for Just $ 18,000

What kind of mods do you have? 4,6, 8 or 12 cyl's?

Port Injection
Turbonetics Turbo (ceramic ball bearings)
aluminum pedals
big ass wing
neon wiper blades
(ha ha!,,,,, just kidding about the last three)

bret, that's an interesting point, usually when some of my friends get into a little racing, empty highways of course. after the duel, people generally pull over and discuss what mods they have. while some are purposely ambiguous others will pop the hood for you. nowadays with all the tuning shops doing a lot of mods its still a mystery once the hood is opened, too much going on with sc and tt and chips!!!
but, i swear it every forum besides the mercedes forums really love ferrari. we envy you guys. but dont tell other bimmer guys i divulged that. i used to be in love with the modena, but im still young, but as time goes by the maranello looks have grown on me, and there is just no rival to that sound besides a mclaren.

Cool. I always find it interesting how other car forums list their mods, granted Ferraris aren't prone to being modified very often at all, but I try to keep them secret. I probably say half of what I do on here, and I like you guys a lot. Anyone I see at a Fcar event might here about 10% of them if they asked. If you wanted to race I'd tell you it was bone stock. Back in the day (as I have been told, countless times by the old man) you didn't tell anyone except your friends about your car. If you had a 427 in it and just beat someone you would tell them something like a 289 was under the hood just to kind of rub it in. Now it seems that everyone kind of advertises it to show what they have done. I'm not saying one is better than the other, but interestingly different mentalities.
