a 308 with way too big wheels."19's? it looks out of proportion.the rear sag is prob too many amps in the back :-).i've never seen a fiero with a targa top, although there is a mera conversion in town with a sunroof, the owner looked kinda surprised when i told him right off "nice fiero",then he said "the wheels are Ferrari wheels" i said maybe campy's but not 308 wheels.
that was way too funny :-) :-) :-)

Is it just the way it sits with the tires or does it look too short behind the rear wheels?

It looks like the shocks and studs were modified to increase the space int he wheel wells. This way the rubber won't scratch when the car takes a corner.

What should have been done is put tougher shocks in and make the whole suspension stiff.

Kind of what most people do. Put more HP on a car instead of increasing the brakes. For the track, this is where your true time reduction comes in play. ...but you can not brag to your friends that you spend $10,000 to increase the brakes, much easier to brag you added 40HP.

Patrick,

On the second site, I have got to hand it to him with mounting that Cadillac Northstar V-8 in the back of that Fiero! But saying that with the right kit, it could be a 355?????

I think the problem is the overall height of the car has been increased. Those must be 18" wheels or more, I think on the 308/328 they look good with 17" wheels with a lower aspect ratio so the overall height doesn't increase.

this is odd. i have seen some 308/328's here in the uk that have had bigger wheels and wider rubber put on, and they look great - more importantly nothing like this picture. what did this guy do wrong?

so this would make this car a conversion from a Ferrari to a look-a-like Fiero-Ferrari, right?

The larger diameter wheels just look completely unbalanced with the (finer/flowing) coachwork IMO, but the biggest problem is the excessive gap between the top of the front tire and the fender (at most the top gap should about equal the front/back gaps although the shadow on the tire is exaggerating this in the photo). The shorter front US spoiler doesn't help the illusion (nor does the lighting with no shadow under the front spoiler but a darker shadow elsewhere). With the front end down 30~40mm and 16" repro wheels it would look great.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought those wheels make it look like crap!

you can tell it's not a fiero because of the front vent windows. it's a 308 w/oversize wheels and tires.
