Mark,
you are on the other side of the bridge :-)
I am in Bay Harbor (Office) and live in Surfside.

You gotta get in touch. Sure I will take you for a ride. William is in town as well and wants to make a meeting on South Beach soon.

Robert,
are you coming as well? We have a good crowd here in Miami. Some of the fellow FOC members meet regularly. Wanna come by as well? The more the better!

I just moved to North Miami and I get a kick out of my friends (even close by in Fort Lauderdale or Palm Beach) that think you have to know Spanish to hang in Miami. Or at least tease me about it.

Only place I didn't like was Miami Airport... they just didn't want to be freindly or helpful at all. But other then that...I'm loving playing and hanging out in Miami (just hate those $24.00 drinks at the Delano..but such a cool place for people watching).

Martin- next time you get the urge to go for a drive let me know... I'd love to take a ride in a 348. Not to mention meet a fun neighbor :-)

I get up to Edmonton on business a couple times a year... they probably already have a foot of snow by now. And you won't see any dirt/grass until next May. Miami is a better choice!

BTW, 75 and clear in Dallas today. Supposed to be clear & 80 tomorrow!

absolutely. hard to find anybody who speaks english ! and when you ask them to they just ignore you ! really think we went sliding down a slippery slope when we let everybody off the hook about learning english - after all, that is virtually the only requirement we imposed. go ahead and flame away but, i for one, would readily vote for a return to one official language.

Todd -

The one thing you should do before moving to Miami is to learn how to speak Spanish.

Martin, you have the life, I spend every winter in S. Florida. Ifyou can get passed some of the Bs, it's such a great area to be. ALWAYS something to do. ALWAYS. And, your only minutes from the carribean, everglades, naples, Kennedy Space Center, Disney, beach, clubs, Bayside, tons of places to jog/blade. And if your into cars or boats no better place to be. I lived in Malibu for a while. I like S. FLorida better. tons of lakes too. I love it there. Anything I should know before I move there?

All you lucky guys!

@24C Low humidity, Sunny Sat. & Sun but no F-car yet. Unable to find any insurance company for the 348 Spider yet. (I am old enough and have never in accident). Have to stick to my Maserati this weekend.
Hi Ross, where the hell would cost $20/hour parking (I used to pay $5.00/h and friends from all over the world reckoned it is sky-high!)

Martin:

SF just got winter. 2 - 3" of rain over Thursday through Sunday is the prediction. However, we had mid 70s last week, and while we haven't seen 80s for a few months, as much as I like Miami, I'd still prefer to live here.

Ryan,

I was in Edmonton today for a job interview, and it was coooooooold.

Looks like it might be a good long weekend here in Calgary though if this weather keeps up.

I've had many beers at the Clevelander overlooking the street/beach at the curvy bar to the left of the front door. Made my way down to Mango's too for the table top dancing girls too. I am jealous!

BTW I was lying it was not in the high 80, only 80 straight. But the humidity was so low it was great. Was in South Beach and has a Pina Colada at The Clevelander!

Great drive!
