Dina,
world class answers....
The Muppet Chef....that brought the picture in my head...flying ingredients, kind of like when I cook...Smoerebroed roem toem toem! I still have tears in my eyes. Forget going back to sleep now.

You are a class act, Dina. Where were these teachers in my time?
Adelina V. (Dina)
Posted on Tuesday, July 17, 2001 - 7:34 pm:

Magoo ! Vincit Qui Ce Vincit. Martin ! Would not work in my classes. Jorma ! My Swedish stops at the 'Muppets Chef'. Herbert ! Redneck ? Isn't that when your home has wheels and your car doesn't. Peter ! Forget the French, stick with your English and your Italian Ferrari. Bret ! With my Italian background, the languages just became a part of survival and a work career. What are you going to do at college? Mark ! Wrong on two counts (age/gender)plus, I have never been a sceptic, maybe that's why I own a Ferrari ?
Everybody ! It will take a little courage but I will post a picture. Dom says he will take it for me. Regards - Dina.

I am not sure, everything is blury...was I ever in school? so many years....no wait...there was that big building I was supposed to go to....now it comes back....yeah, that was school.

Latin sounds like spanish to me, I can't speak either! but then after 7 years of french in school and almost 2 years living there, no much is left there either! Had an agreement with my french teacher, I read the paper and will not bother class and he will pass me barely. He believed that not disrupting class is worth something. I wonder is Dina is the same way?

I took one year of French in High School, and speak fluent Redneck and Ebonics.

My post of "Bien oui" is the extent of my french! More surprising is I grew up in Quebec!! French was the only subject I did poorly in school, because I grew up in an english neighborhood, went to english school, had english friends, watched American TV, the list goes on... Just never picked it up (wish I did, it would've helped me learn Italian so I could read my 308 parts catalogue J).

The Quebec referendum to separate from Canada pissed me off so much that I moved out west. Five years later with a good job, money in the bank, and a Ferrari... I think it was a wise decision. I don't miss french at all.
Martin (Miami348ts)

sorry Bret, only 3. German, engish and french. French I would not consider fluent, although I lived there for almost 2 years. hate the damn french!

Dina, classy, You are a language wonder! I am so impressed! I only wish I could. Hope they pay you the BIG bucks in your school, otherwise you should take your tallent and come to Miami and work for me!

I'm still partial to FSTTCHR, could you picture her pulling into school with that. And SHEXLR8S because it's classy.
For the record, I have pretty much no idea what you guys are talking about because I don't speak French and not nearly enough German to understand that. Am I alone? Does everyone here speak four languages fluently?

Lawrence, First of all no bullets just comments. You are exactly correct I also was part of the group of comments, that's why I said "WE" should back off a bit. Go back and view all the comments, none meant to be debaseing or degrading to her, but we don't give her a chance to respond. I agree with Tom Antal's comments about the testosterone and getting laid. Again it's like a pack of dogs out for the chase. It was just a suggestion, to back off a bit and let her respond. If you wish to continue then do so. And also I don't think you would like me as a Ferrari Chat pin up in a speedo. I think ITALGAL was great and I liked Fred's 4REGIRL suggestion.
Lawrence Michaels (Lxmichaels1)
Posted on Saturday, July 14, 2001 - 12:30 pm:

Ok all,

Let's just be clear on this:

it is (should be all in fun).

Magoo, you said Dina should pose in a bikini and wanted her to be the pin-up girl here. Hmmm, are you willing to pose in a speedo for her?

Dina also contibuted to the thread. I'm sure she pretty well knows she is the only active female here, so her comments will be acted on.

I as well as others even had some fun with this one. Again this is all in the spirit of having some (tonque-in-cheek)FUN and not to attack her in any way shape or form.

Dina could just say ... Guys, let's keep this to the subject matter of the Ferrari automobiles and that should be that.

I certainly hope that we DID NOT turn her off to this forum because she has contributed as well as gained and it is very helpful to us all here.

End of thread? Please no return bullets!

Dina, where are you?

Hmmmm, I says, methinks Dina won't find one she likes. As a(n institution bound?) skeptic, I say 'she' is nothing more than an overweight 50 Y.O. man playing out two of his fantasies -- Ferrari ownership, and womanhood.

While I'm at it, how about Bret? Likely a 72 Y.O. toothless woman yanking our collective chain!

OK, maybe not.

Again not Ferrari, nor feminine, but my favorite plate has been IXLR8. How many letters in CA? 7 or 8? SHEXLR8S?

I like it but I think ITALGAL, while phoneticly pleasing and catchy, is too generic and does not capture the specific essence of Dina, her ride and their relationship to one another (also this thread is too much fun to end now and let's me procrastinate from my growing Ferrari "to do" list) FSTTCHR (fast teacher) GTBBABE?

You know Dina, I never thought of it that way. The male ego has been bruised because he does not have a Ferrari. You're right I guess that would be intimidating to some. I guess when a guy pulls up beside you in his Ferrari and winks, you'll know it's true love.

It was just a matter of time for the corruption. The question now it what kind of (anatomically speaking) magnet is your 308 for you. I'd venture to speculate that the magnet effect is amplified in this case.

KILL THE CATS!
BretM (Bretm)
Posted on Friday, July 06, 2001 - 5:27 pm:

Classy comment Ben, they had a thing like that on Magnum, p.i. today. Yeah cats also have a thing for walking on a freshly washed car, damn them. It would be a quick way to get rid of them it they were curled up in the engine compartment, but the cleaning wouldn't be worth it. Train the cats to guard your car.
Craig Dewey (Craigfl)
Posted on Friday, July 06, 2001 - 3:21 pm:

They can leave nasty footprints too and then of course when you start the engine and they happened to be curled up under the engine cover on that warm engine by the fan belt....What a mess!!

You need to use that California Duster before you cover it. By that time the car will have cooled down a bit.
'75 308 GT4 (Peter)
Posted on Friday, July 06, 2001 - 1:23 pm:

Two things about this:

1)To stay and guard the car isn't that bad. It gives you plenty opportunity to admire the looks and shape of the car.

2)If these cats are outdoor cats, WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING INSIDE THE GARAGE!?! I'll post a picture from Cavallino of such an issue later. Theres no problem if the cats are de-clawed, if not, well, grab a pair of pliers.... J

Wait, this is a FELINE problem? not having anything to do with Catalytic converters? what? lol

ok I admit it was funnier when I said it out loud.

-Ben

PS. Garden supply places sell some noxious smelling stuff to keep cats from carefully planted flower beds, maybe it'll work on (or just NEAR) fine Italian autos as well?
Mike hughes (Mph)
Posted on Friday, July 06, 2001 - 12:23 pm:

Get rid of the cats! You do not want to trap the heat radiating up from the cooling vents.
Tom Antal (Intenso)
Posted on Friday, July 06, 2001 - 10:36 am:

Sorry, I know this is a duplicate message, but I want to solicit additional comments. I thought it might get lost under the "Garage " post.I have a heat question. When I get back home from a drive with my F355, the engine heat emitting from the back is amazing. After pulling into the garage I put the car cover and padding on immediately to keep my outdoor cats from scratching the car. But I don't cover the engine compartment until the car cools off. Which of course means that I have to guard the car from any cat that wants to curl up on the warm surface. This is a major pain in the A** if I come home late at night. Question...Do think it's bad if I cover the engine compartment right away? It just seems like I am trapping a lot of heat. What do you think. It might be easer if I just got rid of the cats. :)
