Marc, You will find this site to be invaluable in answering the questions that you will inevitably encounter. I was fortunate to learn of the site while doing research for the purchase of my F-car and learned a tremendous amount in terms of what to watch for. The great majority of people here are very willing to impart their knowledge - kind of like having "Mike" at your fingertips! Congratulations on your TR! |

Good for you Marc. I felt the same way when I bought mine - I was really thankful to those who were willing to help and were generous with their knowledge of the cars. Now it's your turn to "return the favor"!! Congratulations! |

I wanted to share my great experience. This past summer I realized "the dream" of Ferrari ownership, thanks to the help of some great people. I live in the central valley of California where Ferraris are still rare and knowlegeable Ferrari people are even rarer. When I exhausted my sources, I contacted the Ferrari Club of America regarding whom I could talk to about my search. A very helpful staff member with FCA, recommended that I talk to Bill Ingliss in Southern California. Bill was enthusiastic and made some great recommendations. For my PPI I used Mike at GT Motors in Glendale California. After talking to Mike, I felt totally comfortable with him and the car that he checked out for me. The results of the PPI were favorable, so I negotiated the deal and purchased a 1989 Testarossa. Mike had generated a small punch list of items that needed to be addressed. I was so pleased with his service that upon completing the purchase, I immediatley took the car to his shop to repair the small items. Upon my arrival at GT Motors, Mike inquired if this was my first Ferrari? When I informed him that it was my first Ferrari, he took the time to give me a complete orientation on the car. After I picked up the car and drove it home, Mike called the next day to make sure that I enjoyed the drive. Absolutely Great Service! Now that I have had the car for several months I cannot express how much I enjoy reading the threads on this site. I now realize that all of the thoughts and experiences that I have had are common amongst Ferrari owners. Thanks |
