Back in the late 70's my dad had a 1934 Ford Roadster that the body was completely original except for the 50's Corvette tail lights he installed in the rear fenders. It was a real hot rod with a heavily modified 327 Chevy engine, chevy trans and posi traction rear end. The car had won some trophy's in shows. He was towing it home late at night after doing some street drag racing on Long Island and he got rear ended by a drunk driver and it totaled the car. I was a teenager at the time and I remember bursting into tears when I found out about it. |

My older brother totalled a Lambo Uracco during the 80's (1987 I think)- back road hills of LA coming down from Mulholland - he was speeding (of course) and he passed a cop car that was parked - so being a smart 19-teen ager, his decision was to outrun them and get the car home less than a mile away - from a downhill incline to a sharp 90 degree left, going too fast he hits the curb on the right side - bounces off to the left side of the street through a driveway acting as a ramp - car goes airborne and lands on the bushes - he would've made it home and hid the car in the garage if not for that mistake - he ended up in the pokey for the night |

In my state, insurance goes with car. Thus when scenario below happened, my insurance got to pay for it. I now have a rider (sp?) on my contract indicating that if I have a claim where one of our registered drivers was not driving, well, I am dropped and the claim revoked. - JMG |

I am sure it's everyone here's biggest nightmare. I was wondering if any of you were in any bad wrecks in your cars. It doesn't matter whose fault or whatever. I am sure there have been some fender benders but anyone here lost it bad at the track or been plowed at an intersection. Most of you here I hope have insurance and had it covered. just bored at work and curious. |
