Doody,

They have to cover their massive overhead somehow. :-)

i watch newport fairly regularly online.

the problem with them is that their prices are very impressive.

i assume they sell mostly to very wealthy folks who walk in off the street "hey! i want a ferrari!" type of stuff (no offense to anyone who's bought there!).

i've never negotiated with them - maybe the initial salvos are just BS, but they've been SO high every time i've found something interesting that i just don't bother.

doody.

A couple of weeks ago I stopped by when I was in California for the CART race at Fontana. Very impressed by the entire operation and the cars they had were also very impressive. Everyone was very cordial. Sometimes I wish I didn't live in Indiana!!!!
Every time I travel somewhere I try to take an extra day to visit exotic car dealers in the area and it is absolutely amazing the different kind of treatment I receive. You never know who might walk in your front door. Prince or pauper, might be driving a Camry rent a car when they pull up!!

i noticed that too, i looked online and was flabergasted. that has to be one of the best showrooms i've ever seen. i thought the bmwna dealership in nyc was nice but obviously i need to get out to cali a lot more. i wish i could go there with a five million dollar budget.

btw, i see that some dealership has an enzo for 1.3 - 1.4 for an enzo. i laughed who would do that?

Hello All-
I am suprised this dealership is not talked about more on this board. It is the absolute most beautiful showroom in the world. The cars are just incredibly perfect, and the design inside of the showroom makes you feel like your really in Italy. It is just the perfect setting for the cars. I consider the owner of this dealership one of the luckiest men alive. Can you imagine getting up and going to work to run that place? Absolute heaven. I have only casually talked to the owner, Armen Gugasian once, and he seemed really cool. My 17 year old nephew comes to vist me in the summer, and he always goes to look at the cars in the mornings. The owner has been very nice to him, talking to him about Ferrari, giving him Newport Autosport license plate frames, and also allowing him to take numerous pictures of the cars. Most Ferrari dealers would shun a young kid away, but this one nice and it meant a lot to him. I just needed to vent this, but if you are looking to see the most beautiful showroom ever, and deal with quality people, Newport Autosport is the best.

P.S.-The 288 GTO looks enticing.....
