I like 355s a lot more (it's the first Ferrari I can remember coming out, and I fell in love with it) but I don't know if it is worth twice as much. If you can comfortably get the 355, I say get it and enjoy it. It has a more modern feel and look to it and a lot of the 348s rough parts were refined in it. The other thing you could do is get a 348 and then invest the money saved and in a few years be able to but a 355 too. You only live once though, so get what you like. |

1. your best deal? That will be at half price a 348 GTB. Same quality car but half price. The 348 to me is a great car. The 355 is fantastic in many ways but too expensive in the purchase if you compare it to the 348. 2. I am not sure about the $3000 maintenance cost. That depends on your driving. I drive my car 8000 miles per year, almost daily to work. So far my biggest ticket was a clutch and flywheel (I am an idiot and drove the car with a slipping clutch). That was $3.500 clutch and $3.500 wheel. Oilchanges recommend every 2000 Miles $ 150 Major service every 15,000 Miles $ 3500. Other than that I had nothing. HAd a false reading in the electronics once, panned out to be nothing. My mechanic did not even charge me for that. |

In previous message I mentioned 3000 usd maintenance cost. What I meant was : an average annual maintenance cost of 3000 usd when driving 5000 miles annually and with all maintenance costs included (also replacement of broken electrical parts etc.) Of course I emphasize AVERAGE (I know that in the year of a 30k service costs will be substantially more). |

1) What's the best deal : a '96 355 gtb or a '94 348 tb at half the price? 2) I consider buying one of those cars : If the car is in good condition, am I right to believe that my average annual maintenance cost will be around 3000 usd? |
