From experience, FNA wont be much help.

So far I have a very successful search in tracing my car's history. I posted an update today on how I did it-it is one of the first listings in "messages archived since 7/1/01"

Thanks Jeff. Do you know if Ferrari keeps any historical records on their cars, perhaps by their Vin number. I have a 78 gts with no records and I am trying to trace its ownership through the years.

Dean, look in the archives under keyword search on the introductory page of the chat line. There was talk of that here on the chat line but I'm not sure where.

Thanks Warren for the info. I was wondering, would you know how to find the history and ownership of a 78 308gts. Carfax only goes back to 1981 cars and newer. I was wondering if Ferrari or fna has a way to access records of a ferrari history?

Dean, I have am a collector and the reason I bought a 79 308 carb. car is partially what you are asking. The last of a dying breed. And oh the nice sound from those carbs.

It says somewhere, I think on the FNA website.

I was wondering if anyone knew how many carburated 308 gts were made in 1978. Do you think the 308 carburated gts will ever be considered a collector model?
