That's only because Nascar is done for the year ;^P

and during the week the only good programing is from midight to 3:00 AM. Even the infomercials are better than the Nascar crud.

I know Rob might move this post to "OT or Racing" but I thought I would post it here first where more folks might see it. Also a copy of this post in "Racing".

I know everyone was worried about Speed Channel becoming NASCAR Channel but it appears that was totally unwarranted.

Watched F3000 Coverage tonight and it was plain awesome. I worried that Speed Channel might have some twitty British guy commentating but was stunned and delighted that Varsha and Hobbs did the commentary.

Great racing with plenty of tire lock up, slingshot drafting, passing and repassing in the turns and good commentary.

I think we owe Speed Channel a debt of gratitude for listening to it's loyal fan base. It was also announced that next year we will get live coverage of F3000 races. There was also a hint we might get British F3 races tape delayed.

With German DTM, British BTTC, Australian Super V8's, CART, Grand Am, ALMS, Toyta Atlantic, Formual Mazda, Trans Am, F1, F3000, European ETCC, Speed GT and Touring and low and behold even some SCCA racing Speed Channel is doing a good job even if there is a bit too much NASCAR (I watch that occasionally as well).

Good Job Speed Channel!
