Unless they're going really cheap, I can't see much use or value to them. All they do is give trouble codes and some specs that you have to track down with an ohm meter anyway. There's no setting on the 288's-F40's that you can't check and/or adjust/tweek with other tools.

A friend of mine (native american) in the oil field biz would take ohm meters from radio shack and re-install them in different housings and sell them to rig operators as a Diagnostic Kit...for 10x original cost...lol.....he called it White Mans Magic...LOL.

You can do alot more with an ohm meter, gas analyzer and sign wave scanner than those Italian Magic Boxes imo.

Does anyone know what you would use the Jofatrom K8 tester for & if so, how much would one expect to pay for said item.

I was offered one and need to know i I should be interested in it or pass, I have no idea what it's used for or what cars, the guy also has the "F40 - 288 GTO IAW TESTER" are these worth buying?
