Great job Rob. It would literally take years to learn what I have picked up by default in 3 months of having fun on this site. The specific tip I am most appreciative of was Mike Charness' tip about aluminum shift knobs from Voodoo -- I just posted an update to it after receiving the engraved version that knob they now have available. I just posted an update on the original thread, but probably nobody will see it since that thread is a couple months old. If anyone has an interest:

http://server.ferrarichat.com/~ferrari/ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/127555.html?1038671710

I'm also appreciative of the discussion of synthetic oils, oil filters, and many other subjects where real-world experience and feedback is essential.

Congrats to Rob and the bunch.
As a founding board member from day 1 much learned and a few friends and many nice people.
I am not on as much as the past but still check in. The 328 dream is still alive but a little down the list due to the market conditions....

I'll smoke a cuban cigar tomarrow night and raise a toast!

Rob can you fix my member since to the true date? Remember the crash?

Here's to it and to again...
We're used to it
We used to do it
So here's to it!

Nice work Rob.
You have to wonder what an absolute pain in the ass it would be to get questions answered without FerrariChat.

Happy Birthday F-Chat... this is a great forum for sharing ideas - and I'm learning more and more each day as a new owner. The NSX community is a little different, indeed. Well, hopefully, I'll still be an F-Car owner 2 years from now..

Thanks... btw... this site is now set as the default homepage on my browser!

First off: Happy 2nd B-day FerrariChat.com!!

Although I don't post often, the one thing I have found is that most F-chat members are very helpful and informative to anyone and everyone who asks. I have done business with several members and have sold several members their Ferrari's and can tell you first hand that this is a great bunch of people.

I look forward to seeing what more I can learn about F-cars on a daily basis.

One of the things that Rob and I were talking about a few days ago that I will share:

My father just bought an NSX and I was wanting to hook up with the guys while they were in town for NSXPO. The head guy for NSXPO said I couldn't even come and participate in the drive through FT Worth just because I didn't sign up for the whole weekend. BS!!

I have found that F-chat members are always glad to invite other car marque owners to hang with them at events just to share info and experiences.

Long winded but my $0.02....on how cool the F-chat members are..

To answer Rob's question I would say Dealer Information. I love hearing the stories (good and bad) and its good to know that I can get opinions about almost any Ferrari Dealership in the country.

Great site Rob keep it up!

Can't remember exactly how long its been since I joined, perhaps in the range of 7-8 months. And since then, I have checked the chat religously several times a day (maybe only a few days where I didn't get to check).

I was at first hesitant to check out the site, but then a search engine lead me to find my answer here at F-Chat, and I was immediately blown away by the wealth of knowledge and quality people that made up the community. Being that we are repairing an injured car, I have found much comfort, information, and support from everyone here--so much thanks!

All of my friends think I have a serious problem for liking something so much, but you guys have helped provide sanctuary where I can explore my love for Ferrari. Before joining F-chat, I thought I knew a lot about Ferrari, but after only a short time, I know more about Ferrari in all aspects than I ever thought possible, and also I now realize how much more there is to know.

Happy Birthday FerrariChat! Congratulations Rob, and thank you all for helping make a great online community.

Discovering the FerrariChat site gave me the courage to fulfill my boyhood dreams of owning a Ferrari. Where else would a guy in the wilds of Wisconsin find the technical knowledge for the care and feeding of a 17 year old Ferrari? My sincerest thanks to everyone on this site who has helped me out and to Rob for this great site.

While not owning a Ferrari yet, I am on track to purchase my first in 2003. Ferrarichat has given me the chance to do my homework on servicing and repairs, and I have learned a ton about the ins and outs of fixing the cars. I will be that much further ahead when the time comes to buy the car.

I check Ferrarichat two or three times a day, and it is always a nice "escape" to come to; be around guys and girls that are into cars and have a wealth of knowledge. Thanks Rob, for giving us all a place to hang out! If you're ever in Seattle, I owe you a steak dinner.

I too am still fairly new to the forum. However I am so glad that it is filled with THE most informative people I have ever met in any forum on the internet. Everyone here knows there stuff and are willing to share any information.
Since I didn't know anyone with a ferrari I wasn't sure what the general attitude was as far as owners go was. Now that I somewhat "know" some people here I realize that they are extremely kind and generous. I have had offers for test drives and such and I don't even know these people. You can just feel the enthusiasm here.
I have checked here everyday since my first and tend to do so everyday. It's nice to have a place to come and just hang out and talk about these cars or whatever.
Congratulations Rob on the best site on the net

This is the only place I can discuss my car without running into all the pre-conceived notions that the general public has. There aren't a lot of people that understand why we own these cars. Most think it's an ego thing, which couldn't be farther from the truth.

Happy Anniversary FC!

The thanks need to be directed to all of you. I personally don't know every detail of every Ferrari, I personally don't have experience with every dealer in the world, and I don't know every "who's who" in the Ferrari world. However, between all the 1,900 users on this board I think we have most of the Ferrari knowledge in the world covered. That's the beautiful thing of this board... the community itself!

All I did was start the infrastructure to allow the community to grow in a healthy manner. This continues to be my challenge today and I will continue the rest of my life to make FerrariChat.com the best Ferrari community.

I also appreciate being able to meet so many users in person, like in NYC, KC, Indy, and when users come through Dallas.

Also like to mention how important it is that the sponsors are supported. Yes I have a real job, but the sponsors allow me to keep the infrastructure healthy as possible and work on the site in my spare time guilt free.

Here's to another 2 years and many decades more of FerrariChat.com. Thanks to all the users!

Excellent site..
Excellent people...

Invaluable source of straight forward information that was instrumental in my first F-car purchase.

Best moment:

Remember logging on at 4:00 am ....scrolling down a thread when the "Krispy Kreme" colander showed up...laughed so hard the coffee is still in my keyboard.......

Want to thank all the members who tolerated my newbie questions and Rob for this site.

The great thing about this forum is that this is not an ostentatious showstage for just the snobs and the showoffs, but is in fact more of a meeting room for all sensible people from all walks of life, irrespective of country, origin, class, or wealth.

Well I guess it must have been 2 great years, since I've only been here like 3 months and I already enjoyed it enormously.

The things I've learned over here.... hmmm....
the most invaluable would be :
The fact that it doesn't take a rich man to drive a Ferrari. That If you got a dream, you got to go for it, life's just to short.
Live the life and die happy !

Hopefully I someday get the change to post here that I bought myself a Ferrari, so keep the board up for another 20 years would you, rob ? :-)

I'm pretty new at this board, but still, I've already learned a couple of things.

For starters, you guys is not just falling for anything, and you are very hard to fool, and I must say I was stunned. You guys sure showed me how it works here. Now, after my confession I've learned, that FerrariChat is a place where we alle can share knowledge, experience and joy.

I want to thank you all, It has been a privelidge(Can't remember how to spell it) to be here, and I'm looking forward to many more positive experiences with you guys.

As you check the board this morning (or anytime today) please take note that there is a date at the bottom (left corner) of each and every page. Today would mark the 2nd birthday (or would it be anniversary) of FerrariChat.com!!! As one of the first users I thought instead of saying thank you (repeatedly, individually and publicly - those threads get boring quickly) to Rob. We should all share 1 INVALUABLE thing we have learned here or some tidbit which is the most important thing you have learned since you first found FerrariChat.com.

Please no sarcasm relating to waxes, floormats, lic plate frames, Chris Sawyer etc. This is serious and should make for a very interesting topic.

Everyone raise a glass and toast 2 great years, with many many more ahead. Be safe and drive with the spirit of Enzo.

-Ben
P.S. Those with FC-2003 Calendars we marked the date so you won't have to remember it next year. ;)
