I can't say how accurate it is with G's. You either put it in a G meter or a 0-60/quarter mile mode and go from there.

you must keep it level, or it will error on you and tell you that it needs to be level, and this can be difficult in my car (S2000) because of where the lighter/outlet is located (between the seats, next to my right elbow) - its far away and can be pulled off the windshield easily.

Any thoughts on how it works? Id guess it uses accleration and time to measure 0-60 and 1/4th mile. Is it accurate with g's?

dont have any personal experience with the Geez unit, but I have a few friends that run them in autocross events. I'm sure you'll see a few more of them during normal lapping days since the time limit has been increased greatly over the past year.

The G-Tech unit - well, I've been playing with one for a few months (a friend's). It works and works... eh, iffy, but when it does work, its quite accurate. They claim its accuracy is +/- 1 tenth of a second - and that's pretty dead on too. Its accurate.

Worth the $135? Not really. Borrow a friend's for a while. You'll use it for a few days and then it will have lost your interest. At least, that's my take.

For roughly the same price you can get waayyy better... the G-Cube with GEEZ software.

For more money, there's a box with both accelerometers and GPS integrated allowing you to do accurate lap segment time at your whim... supposedly... haven't used it. It runs about $800.
