Bret, I agree. Why would anybody do that to a Ferrari?

My car already bottoms out driving over a human hair. I would leave it alone.

On the topic of Hamann, yesterday at Ferrari of New England they had a silver 360 they were putting Hamann stuff on. Already had the small spoiler on the back and they were putting the rear difuser on as I was there. The car also had HRE rims. Alright, the rims I can, I wouldn't do it, but they are a very nice product with functional and a touch of personality. The Hamann body stuff is just simply gay. Who in their right mind turns a 360 Modena, a beautiful, sexy, Italian car into a ghetto cruiser.

Besides from H&R, Hamann has it's own spring set for 360 or maybe you can try searching for Quantum Coilovers(they're usually in purple color), they make high end supsension kits for Ferraris. Not too many people know about this brand I believe. Hope this would help.

Yes, they are lower but they don't have 19" wheels. The Challenge cars also have a specially tuned suspension for the purpose of racing. I have heard that it is very time consuming to get each car setup right for each track.

Well if you just wanted to tinker with it I would take it in and have the ride height adjusted. It will only set you back the cost of an alignment and is completely reversible if you don't like it.

Put wooden blocks under the 4 corners of the car and heat the springs until the frame touches the blocks.

Yes, the 360 has threaded body coilovers with a limited amount of adjustment. However, I am not sure if one should play with the 360's ride height. The car is aerodynamically optimized and changing the ride height would upset its stability at higher speeds.

Ernesto, so the 360 has adjustable spring perches? hmmmm. interesting if that is the case.

Speaking of scraping the bottom. I did it for the first time yesterday going too fast into a restaurant parking lot. Ouch! No damage except for a few scratches on the undertray.

I think the coilovers on the car can be adjusted and thereby lower the car. When I installed my Tubi I got a good look at them and they seem like normal coilovers. You should look into that.

However, I dont know why you would want to. I scrape enough things in my 360 as it is.

Robert,

H&R makes lowering springs for your 360. I've included a link below for your reference.

http://www.hrsprings.com/fcgi-bin/query.fcgi/site/scripts/suspensionquery.cfg

Also, the springs will take ~ 2-3 weeks to "settle" to their final ride height, after that time I would strongly urge you to have a proper 4 wheels alignment done to correct camber, toe-in/out, and if possible caster. You will want to ensure that camber and toe-in/out are in check as these can adversly affect tire wear! Lastly, also inquire w/ regard to the spring rates of these replacement springs, as they made require greater dampening than your OEM shocks can provide.

Hope this helps,
Hubert

PS
One question however, why are you interested in lowering your 360? Are you going to be tracking the car, building a challenge ready car, or aesthetics? As if your going to be tracking the car, a good set of tires will do wonders, over any other mod that you can perform!

Don't forget the neon on the underpanels. Just kidding. I don't have any experience with the 360's, but I would be very careful lowering the car, especially if you plan to drive at high speeds. The under-tunnels are probably sized for the distance between the underpanel and the road surface and adjustments to that height could cause downforce problems at high speeds. It is my understanding that the underbody aerodynamics of the 360 were very carefully designed and dimensional changes could adversely affect handling at high speeds. Plus, the 360 is about as close to perfection as a car can get. Why mess with it?

My 2 cents.....
