Should be fine. Modman has that on his 348 with HRE wheels. It is in the link I posted. I am sure you will have some speedometer error due to different total height of the tires, but hopefully it will be minimal. Good luck. Post pics when you get finished. |

The stock 348 wheels are Front 215/50/17 - 7.5/17 Rear 255/45/17 - 9.0/17 Later F348 some had, same as F355. Front 225/40/18 - 8.5/18 Rear 265/40/18 - 10.0/18 The later 348 Spyder had the wide track on it. I have 225/40/18 - 8.5/18 on the front I have 265/35/18 - 9.5/18 on the rear. Do you think I will be alright with 275/35/18 on the rear. Justin

The right tire to fill up the wheel wells is: a) 265/40-ZR18 or b) 275/40-ZR18 I am currently using Bridgestone S03 275/40 on my F355, after having gotten rid of a set of Bridgestone S02 265/35. The S03s are much better, at least when you put enough air in them--I am still experimenting but somewhere in the 37-40 PSI range for the rears and 40-41 in the fronts work well in an F355. The 265/35 is 1 inch too low (total height)already compared to a 265/40. There aren't a lot of tires in 265/40, but a lot more in 275/40 which is only .16" too tall compared to 1.04" too short in 265/35. To stick with xxx/35 series tires you have to go with 305/35 to get in the right rolling radius ball-park. |

Justin, do a search as there was a thread about 348 tire sizes about a month ago. Some pics and lots of suggestions as to what people were running on their 348's |

I have a 348 Spider a late 1994. Its has wide track with 15mm spacers on it. At present I run 265/35/18 on the rear. I need two new rear tyres and I want to increase the size on the rear tyres. My momo rims are 18"x 9.5. I want to fill the wheel arches. Is it possible to run 275/35/18 or 285/35/18 or even 295/35/18 ? What is best ? I have a large gap between the wheel arch and tyre. I want fill the gap without lowering the rear of the car. The front of the car is fine. A small gap with 225/40/18. If I lower the car it will be to low at the front and possible the tyre will scrap on the wheel arch. I think you can lower the rear on its platforms ? But I do not want to upset the balance of the car with regard to weight distribution. I need advice. Thanks. |
