The only problem I have with Geico is that they will not offer comprehensive/collision on an older car. They will offer liability only on my 75 GT4 for about $400/year (Don't remember the exact #'s). But, I don't want to be limited by the collector car insurance plans (I would like to occasionally drive to work or heaven forbid, the grocery store). Dom |

Any other limitations (besides school/work) on companies like Leyland West? I've heard some of these companies will NOT cover the car if you park it in a parking lot (like Home Depot), etc. I've also heard some insurance companies will only cover the car if it is driven to a sanctioned car event. I don't drive my car much but I want to be absolutely sure I'm covered in every situation. To me, it's worth an extra $300-400 per year to know I'm covered. |

Omar-I use Liberty Mutual for my 348. I have a 7,500 mile limitation anually on the 348, however it snow's where I am so that's not a problem. My yearly premium is just short of $575 which includes an "agreed upon value" of $70k. |

Check with Chubb. There was an insurance post a few weeks back and guys had some unbelievable deals with them. Like $500 every six months for a 1992 348, they also have an agreed value. You may want to search for that thread. I hope this helps. |

I just used Leyland's on line quote for my Lotus and it's not such a good deal. Only a few less caveats than Hagerty and twice the money, plus a deductible. Here's my deal with Hagerty: Every driver in the house needs a car regestered that's not the insured, locked garage parking, no driving to work or school, no deductible, agreed value. 1972 Lotus Europa $125 a year. Leyland was in the high 200's plus a deductible and a 2500 mile limit per year. I had a claim with them and got a check for the full amount in a week. No hassles at all. |

I've found tying the cars into the home/life policies might provide lower premiums... Just another option. 800yr/Porsche 930,951,Carrera, and 308GTS QV. |

You might try Geico Insurance... just started a policy with them not too long ago for the 348... about 7 and change for half year premium... for ~8000 miles... 500 ded... same ol same ol.. service wasn't too bad, plus they can do it over the phone.

I want to put all my none dailies on some type of lower insurance plan. I plan on only driving my NSX ~5000miles a year, my 750iL, around ~5000 miles as well and my 328GTS around 2000 miles a year. As of now I have 'normal' insurance for 2 of the cars (just got the 328 and no insurance yet) Any recommendations? I want to use sometype of collector car insurance to keep the payemnts reletively speaking low. Thoughts? Comments? Concerns? Help is much appreciated. 3 cars to be put on collector car insurance: 98 BMW 750iL, 97 NSXt 6spd, 88 Ferrari 328GTS
