Andrew, the best publicly available source for GTO histories is Keith Bluemel and Jess Pourret's 250 GTO book. Also, both Cavallino and Prancing Horse magazines offer an abundance of interesting tidbits of info. Other than that, a lot of information is shared among historians and s/n spotters via email, etc. |

L wayne where did you get this information? Its still kind of amazing to me that every detail of some ferrari's are publicly known (and memorized) to the last detail.

Correct, Alberto. The car belonged to someone by the name of "Delgado" in Spain from 1966-70 but during that time it still carried it's original license plate, "MO 84265." In fact this plate remained on the car despite the fact that it had been owned by Pierre Dumay in France, sold to Jacques Swatters in Belgium, returned to France (Marquis Phillippe de Montaigu) and then on to Pierre de Siebenthal in Switzerland before ending up in Spain. Maybe the various owners weren't able to register the car due to customs issues. As you point out, the car remained in storage while in Barcelona. In fact, after returning to France in 1970, it ran into an unspecified problem with French customs and spent the next 16 years in a lock-up garage in the suburbs of Paris until it was sold to Henri Chambon in 1986, who finally registered the car on French plate "5045 VQ 06." |

The number (4153) of the gto styayed in Spain between 1966 and 1970. a friend of mine told me taht this car was sold aproximately in 2 million of pesetas in Barcelona in the year 1970. This car stayed in the scratch garaje in the Rosellon street in Barcelona. This car stayed in Spain little time for administration problems, for this cause was sold at the francochamp garage. |
