i have a 512TR I am rebuilding. the key up front is to check to see that the front subframe is intact. Its fairly pricey so its good to have in 1 piece. I have some extra fiberglass fenders you might be interested in & a 512TR interior in case you need it. Koenig specials sells the front hood & bumper cheaper than ferrari

The bent roof is what says run to me. The whole car must be bent. This one should be parted out.....that engine would look nice in my 308....

Heaven help the poor soul who buys this "clean NY title" car after it's fixed. It may look OK, but will it ever really be the same? They rarely are.

What do I think? If you're asking for my opinion, it is for you to lay down until this thought passes.

FYI. I sold my 88TR that I bought new 14 years ago, always maintained, and drove 130,000 miles with chassis rust through WWOC to a buyer who was fully aware of it's condition for $23,000.

Silverstar is always a little on the high side. Somebody else bought a 456 from them here and that price appeard right. But then he also had access to a body shop at reasonable rates.

This car appears to be a dog. I would pay only engine value ($10K) Nothing else left really.

Run. Don't look back.

Story of life: know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em. Fold that one.

Fun projects have a way of becoming an anchor financially and time

Wow not one taker saying..."oh you could turn it into a race car or part it out or fix it with TLC". The guy told me he honeslty paid $23,500 and that is his reserve. I bet he bought it thinking TR's were worth $80K.....

Go ahead and buy it if you are into liquidating funds quickly without the possiblity of any return.

This is a good example of a potential synergy purchase; the sum of the parts would have to equal or exceed the value of the total car.

It's not worth the effort or the cost involved....Norm

Yeah I agree with you all. Just the lure of a cheap hot rod you know. If I was a skilled body shop guy maybe it would be a fun project, but I can't butter toast let alone spread bondo.

...and dont look back.

the words "frame pull" are enough to make me close that window. the rear fenders are kinked, that body is all bent up.

I shudder......

"it runs and drives excellent. Although it appears that the linkage is stuck in third gear due to the hit"

let's see

24K for the car
24K in repairs

= 48K

You can get a non-crashed one for that price.

Hell, it cost me 38k to reassemble the boxer and that was NOT in a front end collision.

Would you run from this or view it a fun project? Not sure where you can get replacement parts for cheap. Also, I am always leary of a car involved in a headon. Don't want it driving down the road with that offset dogleg look.
