If anyone wants me to look at this car for them I am only about 20 minutes away. I don't know about a test drive but I can tell you if it's something you will want to bring home.

As I thought, nothing against him, but he wants like $15k for the car. It's like Alice in Wonderland. The only way anyone could get anything out of this car is if it was given to them. Other than possibly the front rotors and calipers, the only thing worth any is the engine and trans, and that is highly questionable. For the labor involved to get it all apart it wouldn't be worth more than a couple hundred bucks. For some reason I have a feeling it's gonna sit for awhile...

Anybody see the pics of that 355 that was destroyed in europe on a city street? I think there was 1 pic on wrecked exotics but I had the link to all the pics. They were very grusome and include the two fellows lying on the street. One was in peices the other didn't look to good either. Those pics remind you any can and does happen. If anyone wants the link I guess I could post it.

I bet he wants a couple grand for it. Email him and ask. I asked about a trashed TR he has and he paid $23,500 for that so I bet he paid a few thousand for this one too.

I would spend $500 to get this mess. Do you think they would actually sell it for that? Usually these guys see a Ferrari and think it's worth a lot even when it's junk.

The $51 is for the front rim that is bent. It also has a chipped rim $10 and a good rim $ 300 (?)
The headlight on one side. Hm, I would say $ 500 buys this car.

I emailed the seller and he doesn't know what happened to the car as he bought it in current condition from an insurance auction.

Also, that front headlight is worth $2200 isn't it? Engine internals worth something, brakes, rotors etc?

I love the line in the ad that says "You are bidding on a "slightly" damaged 2000 Ferrari 360 Modena wheel."

Phew!! Good thing this wasn't major. Who knows how the car may have ended up looking.

Regards.

That ad has to be a put-on, right? i mean, who would buy a bent wheel? And, assuming the car was being offered for salvage, wouldn't there be some other parts that might have survived? Well, on second thought, may be not. The worst one posted in recent memory was that south american accident which left the one of the two f-car occupants in grocery meat department sized packages on the side of the highway.Gives you pause, at least for a little while, like those gross-out movies they used to show in driver's ed. (Do those things still exist in those classes?)

There was another thread that brought up aliens, I bet a UFO hit it. Think about it, the top of car got torn off and the fire started up there... I wonder if the survivors (if any) have radiation burns (the X-Files taught us the obviously being around alien ships would do that, I mean naturally it would happen).

Not much usable, from other pics the right rear rim sheared right off the hub (like the rim of the rim sheared right off the hub of the rim). I think the only thing you could get out of this is possibly two front rims, rotors, and calipers.

If it was never a Spider before, it certainly is now :-)

Is that a head laying there in the engine compartment?

For the jaws my friends they would have used different spots.
This baby looks like it skidded under a truck after a rear ender. Probably fatal :-(

Man gets ferrari
Man goes out drinking
Man goes to strip club or meets girl
Man shows off or lets girl drive
Car crashes car
Man gets sober
Man cries

Jeff,

How do you know the Ferrari driver caused the accident? All the ferrari drivers I know, including myself, drive to avoid accidents. I really doubt that the driver of a $200,000 car would not try to avoid his car from becoming a car-b-q. Ego has nothing to do with it.

What is it??

Too much money? Too big an ego??

Reminds me of wrecks of muscle cars that rich kids parents give their teen age kids as their first car, just a bit of a different scale.

Same kid, same car, same whoops I have no responsability and I am immune to the laws of physics and nature.

I've seen way too many wrecked exotics like this

gotta wonder who ever put the keys in the drivers hands is just as guilty as the drivers of these "incidents"

I bet it was'nt trying not to hit a deer either.

Now WE all know Our driving limitations, and I'll assume We cant afford wrecks like this. ;^)

Amar,

It could be a number of reasons. From electrical, to what I feel happened, a fuel line coming undone from the force of the collision. It could also be that whatever it hit, caught fire and burned the 360.

Matt, any idea how a front-end collision caused such a bad fire considering the engine and the gas tank are in the back?!

I've seen a few photos of 360s with burnt-out rears; check this URL:

www.wreckedexotics.com/360/

I am wondering - as a concerned owner! - if anyone has heard of 360 engines exploding or otherwise catching fire even in minor accidents?

I saw that too. I figure somebody died in this one. Jaws of life ripped off the roof, but it is also burned.

They usually don't burn "after" the person is rescued and no way it was on fire with jaws of life cutting away.

So I figure it burned with person in it then they cut him out after they hosed it down.

Or maybe they ran it under something and sheared the top off and the fella was thrown clear????

Looks like a fire after an accident and then an extrication or was it a spyder in it's prior life?
