Anyone remember the first scene in "gone in 60 seconds" when the guy throws the brick into a porsche dealership? I was under the impression that because of that and a few other "incidents" that some Fcar dealerships put motorized steal windows to cover the showroom at night like Jewlery stores do to their store windows. Has anyone else thought about this? Or is it not the case here because its beverly hills?

Phil, you are absolutely right. He sure has a large selection of older ones... I don't go to Sunset that often anymore and therefore I don't see his selection.

Black Horse is going to have a realy nice showroom. I'll post a pic asap...

Coop,

Do you ever get by Modena Motorcars on La Cienega Blvd? One of the few F-car retailers that actually likes the older cars. Current inventory list shows F-cars from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and >2000.

Coop,
you could even extend your commute a bit on the Monica Blvd and drive by Historic. Luv that Drago...

The F1 at Symbolics must be a recent addition. Wasn't there when I visited in October.

Anyway, my commute only takes me by VW and Audi dealerships :-(

God bless LA. For a long time, i was there on an almost weekly basis. Aside from the Petersen Museum, and dealers, such as Symbolic (relatively new to LA, main location in La Jolla, near San Diego), I would usually stop at the book store at Heritage Motors. Also, the front driveway of the 4Seasons (or Beverly Hills or Bel Air, take your pick) is usually a showcase for the sublime and ridiculous. I will often just hang out in front to watch the cars that pull up.

coop,

I was cruising around there (Bel Air et al) for the first time only a couple of weeks ago with a work colleague, nice area.

Strangely, after flying into LAX, driving down to SD, working there for a week then driving back up toward LA, touring the hills of Orange County then Hollywood/Beverley Hills/Sunset B/Bel Air/Santa M areas, then back to LAX....I never saw a single F car! and being an owner I was intently looking...I reckon you US guys drive them far less than you have us Europeans to believe...

Keuylian a couple of weeks ago had the 959 used in the road and track test in the window.

I heard BH Ferrari sold the F-50 for 700k last week

Looks like some of the pics are from Symbolic Motorcars as well. Lot's of very nice dealerships on that little stretch of road.

Yuppp, it's just a distortion.

I can't believe they replaced "MY F50" with that silver Spyder... NOT to put the Spyder down, but I got sooo used to that F50. I'm going through some MAJOR withdrawls...

Coop,

In the picture with the 3 Lambos in the window, which dealership is that?
Great photos.

Is it me, or does the silver 360 Spider in the first picture look like it sustained damage on the right rear quarter panel? Must be caused by window distortion. Right??

Coop, those are some very nice sites on your way home. Just make sure you keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. :-)
