I've seen this before. I thought that there was a problem with the car, that the accelerator had gotten stuck. That's what the video said when I saw it a couple years ago.

I think Martin used the word "they" in very general terms, kinda referring to the people of Monaco.

One of the problems with reading text is that sometimes the intentions of the writer do not come across clearly. Im sure Martin will chime in and clear this up soon.

Jonas, I saw in your profile that you are looking to get a 355. What's the E.T.A. on the purchase?

"Ferrari had a few in Monaco and they arranged for a selected group to test drive them. The accident happened on the lower part by the marina and the pool. They have stores there and to get to the stores you have to go down 3 steps."

"They"? - Must be Ferrari he meantions :-)

I'm not saying he's not right, but I've been there, and there are only one Ferrari dealer.

When Martin said "they have stores there", I think he meant that there are little shops there, not a ferrari dealership.

Appearently :-)

I just ment, that there arent several Ferrari stores in Monaco, and the shop the F50 drove into, was not the official dealership that is situated in Monaco! okay ? :-)

I've been in Monaco! And as I recall, there are only ONE officiel dealer and its not by the marina, but a little walk up the city. There are only room for 3 cars, and the rest is parked outside. 10 metres up they have their garage/ storage facility. And belieeeve me, there you can find serious Ferrari. I've been there twice, and both times there where over 60 Ferrari's :-)

But the point is, an F50 can't drive through the shop, because it's on a hill, leaning a little. And there are cars parked outside.

It can only have been som un-authorized dealer.

(this post was ment for the cavallino guy, that said it was a Ferrari dealer, and that Ferrari had several in Monaco. They don't) :-)

That F50 was in Monaco and that was not this year but the year the F50 was introduced. Ferrari had a few in Monaco and they arranged for a selected group to test drive them. The accident happened on the lower part by the marina and the pool. They have stores there and to get to the stores you have to go down 3 steps.
It rained and this guy had no idea what he was doing and too much speed and the rest you see there on tape.

There was also this joker that tried to do his best impression of a NASCAR driver on I-15 to Las Vegas last year. But like most NASCAR drivers they do not know how to turn right. He clipped a 18 wheeler doing 150 and spin it in to the dirt and hit a guard rail. Totalled. But I am sure it ended up on ebay as an clean example.

Did anyone see the F50 "out of control" last night on RealTV? Was taped in Germany or Italy and showed an F50 hitting a person and then driving into a pit lane viewing box. $100K damage to car...
