I just finished reading the expensivecar archieves, and there is no way I would consider that place,I think a authorized dealer is a better choice.

Jason, if the below mentioned website is indeed Exotic Cars Wholesale; do yourself a favor and steer clear of them. They should not be trusted.

Check out the ExpensiveCar.com Archives. Do a string search for Exotic Cars Wholesale and see what others have to say

It sounds like they are trying to lock you in as a buyer just like the real estate market does. Since this is not regular practice for the car selling market you shouldn't have to conform to this... but understand he's just trying to guarantee his selling comission. Most sellers use multiple avenues to sell their cars so you will see some or the same ones on the popular sites like ebaymotors, Excite, etc.

Certainly not. You should always look at these cars and have them inspected first before buying. I think this is the Exotic Car Wholesale Group whom I've heard dubious things about. In fact, my Ferrari 328 came from there and the guy I bought it from purchased it from them. He told me he had encountered a lot of problems with their business.

NEVER buy a Ferrari that you can't drive and have checked out first. Look at this list and see what even 'simple' repairs cost. Pictures are worthless. Plus, those web sites sell Euro cars frequently which means a lot of dealers won't work on it (I'm told...)

Buy one of the dealer cars. If it's a Cabriolet, hose it down and check the roof for leaks. I was told "all Ferraris leak" by a dealer I didn't buy from; mine doesn't leak. Be sure the dealer did the 30K service and get the paperwork for it. If they won't do it then run away. Their cost to do it themselves is tiny compared to your cost if everything is okay inside, and you'll pay a few grand more from the dealer anyway but that's what you pay for. Make sure the dealer has all the "little things" working, hand brake (mine had to be repaired, a common 308/328 problem) windows not too slow, A/C, etc. If they won't fix everything, then don't buy the car. Be prepared to walk and don't fall in love with a particular car if something is wrong. When you find the right car, especially if you had the strength to turn down a few first, you'll know it. It's kind of a magic thing! If you buy from a private party like I did you'll need to check EVERYTHING even more carefully but you'll end up paying a little less.

Hi, guys I am seriously close to buying my first ferrari...a 1987 or 88 mondial cab.I have narrowed down to a couple of cars. 2 are from specific dealers and the third is from this website exotics for less.He told me that I would have to sign a buyers agreement and send him a $5000 deposit. Then he would send me specific pictures of the car and the location of the car.Is this how things are normally done? Any kind of assistance would be great thanks.
