Horseless Carriage has this big building right near me on Rt80, I only noticed it on Sunday this weekend.

I also used VIP to transport my 246 dino project car from Long Island NY to Seattle, cost $1500.All glass was shipped in boxes, no cracks or breaks. Delivery took longer than I was origanly told, but other than that no complaints.

We ship our D962 race cars all over the country and have used many companies. None of our cars have ever been damaged but Intercity is the least reliable in terms of pick up date. They will often reschedule and the pick up window is about two weeks. I am using a transport service out of Boca Raton,Fl. to transport my 360 from LA to Indy next week at a total cost of $1350. This company, Transport Masters, Inc. does not do the actual transport. They contact companies around the country who use enclosed trailers (not moving companies) who will have a truck in the area of pick up and who have one or two openings on the truck. They should get very good prices. They get $100 and you pay the balance (in my case $1250) to the trucker upon delivery. Their number is 561 988 1588. I have been promised my car in 7-10 days after pick up. If this works for me I will use them for all my race car deliveries.

I used Intercity for my previous non-Ferraris and for my Mondial. SW Utah to Chicago was around $1200. Enclosed trailer, elevator, same truck pick up and deliver. My car was in good company with a Daytona and a 355. Ask them to put it on top.

I had my 308GTSi Quattrovalvole transported from Houston to San Jose (CA) by Waggoners in the enclosed 75' trailer. The cost was $1,100 COD. I understand they no longer provide the door-to-door service. They pick up and deliver to the nearest terminals. I am also in a process of selling my Porsche 928S4 to a guy who lives in Plano, TX. He says Intercity is not too bad in terms of price.

I had VIP Transport (enclosed trailer) deliver my 308 to me here in upstate New York back in 1996. Cost was $600. Very professional. I believe he's based out of North carolina. Delivers cars to Pebble Beach concours, etc. Would highly recommend him to anyone. He advertizes regularly in Forza.

I've used Horseless Carriage for my brothers 348 TS Speciale from Houston to New Jersey. I also used Intercity Lines to transport my TR from San Antonio to New Jersey. Both were enclosed and pretty good, Horseless Carriage was a little bit more expensive, service was the same I think

Use the carrier your local exotic dealer uses. Do not allow a double stack--do not allow a passoff and insist same truck from pickup to delivery--only use carrier with elevator equipement.

I used Passport Transport (1-800-325-4267) to get my 348 from Kansas to Austin, Texas. They did a great job - car was nicely covered inside the closed rig. Took a bit of time (5 weeks) to get here given Kansas is off the beaten path (only 2 days in actual transport though). I paid about $700 as I recall. Would use them again. Kevin

I'm looking to transport my car from the Houston area to southern California, in enclosed transport. Any suggestions as to which companies are good/bad?

I'd value anyone's direct or reliable indirect experience with transport companies (cost, care, time of transport, etc.)

Thanks in advance.
