I've got a 1/43 BBR Enzo Ferrari on Schedoni leather base signed by the owner of BBR coming.

I can't wait to get it since it's probably the closest I'll come to the real thing!

Amar,

Lucky you! Would really like to do some fast laps with the 575M and its new F1 gearshift. Should be really nice. Hope you get the Ferrari 2002 annual. Till then!

Jens,

Thanks again. By the way I've not only sat in the 575M but driven it hard over 2 days during the Ferrari Pilota course at the Mugello track back in April - it was a blast! It changed my perception that it might be too soft and difficult to handle on a racetrack and, though the 360 was of course tighter, the 575 was great fun as well.

Ciao, Amar

Amar,

Sadly you are right about the costs of the Ferrari Owners site. I think they sell a cashmere polo shirt for around 600 Euro without taxes and shipping (Complete costs around 800 Euro). Thats indeed ridiculous if you think of the problem that you cannot even look at it in reality or perhaps try whether it fits right.
For the Ferrari 2002 annual you can go to your official Ferrari dealer near by. I know that they have the magazines as well (at least my dealer here has them). Should be way cheaper than on the owners site and by the way you can sit in a nice new 575M in the showroom while they get the magazine for you! :-)
Best wishes to good old England...

Hi Jens,

Thanks for the eBay tip. I've stopped looking at Limited Edition on the official owners site because delivery and other charges are ridiculous: for more expensive items it's cheaper to fly to Bologna from London to pick them up! But I'm passing through Maranello in a couple of weeks and might do some shopping then.

Have a happy Christmas if we don't chat before then.

Ciao, Amar

Amar,

Have seen the annual 2002 on ebay several times recently. Should definitely be able to order one via the limited edition of the Ferrari owners site.

By the way:
Has anyone bought that book collection from Ferrari with the title:
Ferrari Opera Omnia 1946-2000
It contains three books with over 1200 pages! Costs somewhat around 280 Euros on www.ferrariworld.com
Just wanted to know whether it might be a good christmas present. It surely is the complete Ferrari book with that amount of pages.

Hi Roel,

Will surely report when everything is installed somewhere around early next year.
Just wanted a better response to the throttle and some more ponies. Hope I can really feel the difference with these three modifications. By the way I wanted the car to sound meaner and louder, more like a race car. Will see whether I am a fan of Tubi after the installation...

Con saluti cordialissimi,
Jens Haller

P.S. Merry christmas to the Netherlands and all other Fchat members

My wife is really doin' the Ferrari thing for me this Holiday! She got me a 'Stage 4' Detail for my 328 at Ferrari of Washington (they do excellent detailing), 2 black travel/weekend bags with yellow Ferrari lettering, Ferrari stationery & note pads, and two of those Ferrari pens that come in the metal F1-car-shaped containers...Most all bought at Exoticars in NY on our trip last week! Oh yeah, lest I forget, she also got me a set of seat covers (the F40 type w/the yellow stripe down the center) from one of our site sponsors, Ferraribooks.com !!!

William H., I go there quite a bit. I actually picked up my 1:18 360 and 250LM from there. Not to mention all the 1:43's I have.

I got my niece a remote controlled 355 spyder for her Barbie collection. I found it at FAO Schwarz. For my other friends, assorted 1/18 models cars. For anyone in north Texas, try to get over to Mattel Toy warehouse in north Ft. Worth. They have a large collection of Ferrari toys at great prices. (Puzzles, 1/18, 143, etc...)

My 1:18 Enzo was SUPPOSED to be here in November... now it doesn't look like i'll get until Christmas... other than that, i'm dry for Ferrari paraphernalia... i was even gonna get myself a FNA membership, but i've had to push that back a few months... the holidays are so much more enjoyable to see everyone else smile, so i'm geared towards that...

(Goddamn, bullsh!t holiday is so friggin' commercialized, it's ridiculous...!) ...it's so easy for me to get in the spirit...!

I got the 1:18 288gto by hotwheels and it is one of my prized possesions. Better detail than I expected from hotwheels. I also got the smaller scale hotwheels models of 355 gtb and daytona that came in nice cases. My girlfriend got me a r.c. f-50 from amazon and a f-50 model from durago which is made in Italy. F-50 is not one of my fav. models but I still display them.

I have 3 1:48 scale Hotwheels coming. 355, F40, and F1 2000. I also have the 360 puzzle and I think my wife actually bought me the Barbie in the Fcar track suit. I don't know why? Oh, I also have a big F50 print under there. My wife can't get anything by me.

I've asked for a factory cover for my car (again), and bought both of my kids 1/43 scale Ferraris. Does anybody else have Ferrari paraphenalia on their Santa list?
