Carfax has complied most government records about vehicles.

So far the only used Ferrari I have agreed to buy was contingent (sp) on a PPI and a vertifiction of records.

The Carfax revealed that the milage on an emissions test was higher than the first receipt that they had for service. Further investigation reveealed more things that did not match up.

Single carfax is $15.

Unlimited carfaxs for 30 days is $20.
However, only one 30 day unlimited period per person for a 6 month period. This is a bummer.

Dealers have some other kind of agreement.

DES,

Learn to use google ( http://www.google.com ), you'll find a tons of good info there.

Here's the results for carfax (notice the first result) http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=carfax

In any case, it costs something like $20 for 30 days.

DES: you can go to carfax.com and pay to run one, but some folks have a limited free membership and can run as many as they want in a period of time.
