David: You are correct about the wheels on the red 348 in FORZA (fronts are correct, rears are mounted on the wrong sides). I have seen fronts mounted wrong, rears wrong, all four wrong, and even one 348 that had two left front wheels! Some of these have supposedly just had major services done by the dealer!

I will have to check some pictures to see if any other Ferrari models use directional wheels.

Now that you mention it, I HAVE been accused of being an "anal retentive", but I don't give a s**t.

Jeff,

I am like you when it comes to these things, I did not post a pet peeve on an earlier thread because I was afraid I would keep typing and bore everyone.

I just pulled out the Forza #30 - 348 Buyers guide to see what you were saying. If I follow your description, the red TS has the front wheels on correctly and the rears are wrong. The black Spider appears to be correct on the next page.

Or --

Is it the other way around ??

Please confirm ( if you still have this issue )

Us anal retentive people care.

Neal: That was me complaining about 348's with the wheels on the wrong corners, no one else seemed to care much about it, it's just something I notice in lots of pictures. The fronts and rears are obviously different widths. If you look at the wheels (any wheel) and pick the spoke at the top, the "cutback" portion goes to the back. If you see the cutback on the front of the top spoke, the wheel is backwards, no matter what corner it is mounted on. On the tires, if you have directional tread, there is an arrow on the sidewall to show correct direction of travel (with the arrow at the top, it is pointed forward). You can't mix and match, you are supposed to have wheels and tires pointed in the same direction and mounted on the correct corner. Apparently a lot of 348 owners aren't aware of that! I contacted FORZA about the red 348 having its wheels swapped, they didn't respond. If that was MY 348 pictured, I would be furious with whoever was responsible.

i recently read a thread here about 348 wheels being specific for each corner of the car. my tires were just changed and i cant tell if they're correct. i checked the forza 348 guide issue which seems to show the red car with the front and rears in different directions?
