Martin-I am getting ready to have a pair of OEM SF shields countersunk into my 348 as well. Here are the measurements...

DRIVER'S SIDE FENDER-Using the crease that runs along the fender as your guide, the upper right hand corner of the shield should be 1.5" below the crease straight below a point 4" along the crease from the door/fender joint. The left corner should be 1.75" below the crease from a point 7.5" along the crease from the door. Bear in mind that ther fender indention is slightly larger in every dimension to allow the shield to sit within it. Reverse all measurements for passenger side.

Lastly, I you type "Ferrari F355 Fiorano" into any search engine it will give you hundreds of pictures of the car with it's factory recessed shields.

Let me know how it turns out,
Chris

Martin:

These are the measurment i got from ACW when i put them on my 360 and found it to be exactly the same as the factory installed shields:

When looking at the driver side, the top right corner of the shield is 72mm from the door (excluding door gap). The bottom edge of the shield is 84mm from the door (again, excluding door gap).

Look into my profile for the pic.

Martin, all the horses I have seen on "real" shields have been black. I have seen a set on ebay that are a pewter color, almost gunmetal black which look nice (and compared to the originals cheap), but not original looking.

What color is the horse?

I am dropping of my car at the body shop to have a set of recessed shields installed into my fender. My Christmas present.
