Wasn't there an article(Forza or Cavallino) that brought up some small questions about the serial number? that it may have been stamped over? (A not too uncommon practice, they said, at Ferrari at the time?) This might explain the seeming low price. This sounds like something that Wayne might have an answer to. Fonce (Long time lurker). And pardon my French. |

You sold a 348 owner's manual to Marcel Massini? Are you sure? You shipped it to Switzerland? How long ago was that? |

What a small world !! I just sold a Ferrari 348 owner's manual on ebay to that Marcel fellow! He was very nice to deal with, I had no idea he was so important or well known in the Ferrari community. You just never know... |

thanks for posting this, Anthony. I guess I am surprised at the sales price for 002C. Massini called the price 'spectacular' but $765,000 seems low to me for the first racing Ferrari. Sports racing Ferraris from the 1950s routinely sell for that amount and over $1M for pontoon-fendered 250 TRs and 250GTOs - even in the present market. Just my .02 - Marcel M. is definitely a guy who knows what he's talking about. |
