Give James a call at Norwoods. He can give you the correct answers. www.bobnorwood.com I wouldn't want to guess and be wrong. James is a friendly guy and, if your really interested about upgrading your 348, he'd be the one to tell you. |

I'm interested in the performance/reliability of this too. How much boost are you running? ..and, most importantly, how much would this set up cost??? Luke. |

Jeff, sounds like you are creating the ultimate 348. I am looking forward to hearing about how it runs! I have been thinking about doing the same thing to my TS but I am still undecided. Ive always thought the 348 would be a little monster with 500 or so HP. There isn't gonna be a whole lot on the road that will touch it I'm sure! |

That would be GREAT! I'll speak with James today about the PPI. Then hopefully I can get an idea of the completion time for the inter-cooler upgrade finish. I'll let you know. I'd love to get together with the Dallas guys. Plan on it. J |

Jeff, Give us a bit of warning, and I'm sure we can arrange a local DFW ferrarichat gathering when you pick it up. |

will do guys. Also anyone who wants to SEE the car in person, can; just swing by Memphis and if I'm home, I'll be glad to let you have a look. Of course the car will also attend the Annual Fathers Day show of Ferrari's for kids here in Memphis. I encourage everyone to attend.

Jeff, Many in F-land are jealous of what Norword does. Ignore the naysayers and send us some pictures of all the Norwood goodies! I wonder if the gearbox can handle the power? |

Thanks everyone for participating in the thread. Mike, Martin, thanks for the kind words. I've taken BIG PRIDE and painstaking hours, blood sweat and tears, (not to mention $$$$$), and LOTS of busted knuckles to get the car where it is. Thank you all for your kind comments. The 308 really is a special car. Steve- I think you'll be pleasently pleased. Frank- Fortunately the 348 has quite an interesting history. A piece of which is that Bob Norwood built the motor from the crank up as a turbo motor. It is equiped with a full motec engine management system and mapped appropriately on the dyno to be tuned correctly for the boost set. No more 348 electrical gremlins, (but just the Motec is about an $8500 upgrade- ouch!). Norwood does a great job. You can thank James Patterson for that! Should be daily drivable with few issues. Gene- As soon as the car gets back to Memphis I intend to do a "before" picture shoot and at that time I'll post as many stats as I have on the car. Thank you all and stay posted for more............. |

I hope major suspension and brake upgrade is also equipped with the car... for those who drive 348's hard... we all know how torquey the back end is without suspension upgrades. Jeff... please provide details of what your car has.... what type of turbos? boost pressures? suspension type? wheel and tire size? brakes? seats (carbon fiber)? roll bar and seat belts? car weight? |

Stven, I talked to Jeff before and he comes highly recommended from other chat members. The good thing about this forum is that you will be able to rant about the seller if he sells you sh*t, which this particular car does not appear to be, since it is the best looking 308 I have seen in years. So I would not worry too much about not driving before you buy. Jeff, when do I get a ride? 550HP comands a racing harness. I hope that is equipped in the car!

Jeff, I hope you're loaded with cash. While I'm sure the TT 348 is a blast to drive, I suspect maintenance and repairs will eat you alive. I bet you can own an F40 for less than the 348 will end up costing you ! The ex-service advisor at FOA has told me of several Norwood cars he has had to redo . Good luck. |

Steven: I've seen Jeff's car when he was only part-way through his improvements, and it was great then! I'm sure you'll LOVE it when you get it.

Jeff, That is great news... and i know the guy who is hoping to get your 308 and (humor) he tries hard to not be a deadbeat :-) . Oh wait, it is me! (DOH). Just want to make sure the compression and other bits are as you say. Have been very impressed with what we have discussed so far and hopefully,. in the end, this transaction can be an amusing story for all F-chat folks. Alas, my very busy schedule due to the upcoming CES does not allow me to see nor drive your car. i know, i know... buying a F-car sight unseen... There is much trust on my side of the computer screen and look forward to having the 308 and all extra bits in my home awaiting the spring thaw. Did i mention we had 16 inches of snow the other day here. Congrats on your 348 and may it bring you much joy and happy trails. Enjoy The Drive, Steven R. Rochlin PS: when the car arrives ANY and ALL tips/hints/suggestions would be greatly apprecaited. Want to continue the great work you have done to the 308.

Chatters: It would appear I have found an interested party that has a clue about what he is looking at in my 308. The pre-purchase inspection will be on Monday. This individual is a Ferrarichat member also. Barring an unforseen problems in the inspection, the car will have a new home next week. I've arranged backup financing incase I've found another deadbeat, but it would appear he is sincere. I'll believe it all when his checks arrive! The Norwood 348 twin turbo is sitting in Norwood now. I am having intercoolers installed for engine protection and additional horsepower. I plan on picking the new car up in a few weeks and DRIVING it back home to Memphis with about 550-600 hp at the wheels! I'll post pics when it reaches its new home. The car is a monster but it does need some cosmetic TLC- my speciality. Jeff |
