I have TRX's on my Euro 308 and for the amount that I push my car, I don't have many complaints other than the availability of the tire itself. Sometime in the next year or so, I'll be looking for a set of original 16" wheels so I can expand my tire options. |

Doc, 6-8# over ? The manual already calls for 43# per tire ! So you think I should run up to 51# per tire ? |

I have them on my 87 TR and have no problems. Even after a winter storing, they perform well for a street tire. Remember to use the rule with these tires....run them at 6-8 # over, makes a difference. During the summer/hot weather , I run them up to 42# in the rear...handles great. |

My biggest gripe about the boxer was those positively medieval tires; i know there was an earlier thread about "metric" sizes, but it was my understanding that, short of changing the wheels (i had ones with the ears on the knock-offs), you were pretty much stuck with that tire. It was like driving a snow tire, but the sidewalls seemed more pliable than the tread surface; cool, if you wanted to drift the car, but then again, given the rear/top heavy set up, you'd have to be a better driver than me to plan on putting the tail out on that car and recapturing it. They also seemed to wear forever, compared to modern, low profile, Z rated performance tires, like the P-zero. Wasn't one of the principal changes from the early production Countach simply to accomodate the then low profile(P7?) pirelli? |

Yes I think the TRX's are noisy when compared to other tires, although the Boxers are quite compared to the Mondials and 4 series imo. Tire pressure and balance are critical to reduce the noise. |

Mine aren't very noisy at all. I never noticed the difference. |

Are they always so loud on the road. I know the ones on my Boxer look like new and have plenty of tread but make a lot of noise on the road. I have been told that that is common to the tires and new ones will do the same after a few hundred miles or so. What has been other TRX owners experience ? |
