I just got back from Singen, here some feedback.

1. Cars are in very good condition
2. Very helpfull, they take time for a customer
3. They don't give warranty and aren't able to sell you any.
4. Only small % of cars on the website are in the showroom.

Answers,
Ton the 328 are in very good condition, check your
mail for the pictures
Kenneth they do ship to Hong Kong this will cost you +/- 5000 Euro including insurance,3 days delivery by plane.

Rijk,

You are so right! That is exactly the reason why I moved to Belgium. I drive my BMW for 30% less!!! And that knowing that the border is just 7 km away!

Oh, there is more. Warrantees are limited to one year. If you get a car from the bussiness, a portion of the value is added to your income, so you pay taxes over it.

I think that in Europe it is very difficult to get a car under MSRP and you get no information as to dealer invoice. Also you have to add the VAT. In the US you can buy standard new cars (not the exotics) for dealer invoice or even below and the sales tax is also lower. In the Netherlands you even pay BPM at 23% (?) on top of the VAT, so cars are on average 40% more expensive than in the US. On top of that you pay road tax and gas is 3.5 times as expensive as well. No, you are much better off in the US (that is why I moved to the US)

Okay, that is possible.. I just don't know any of the countries. It's not the US, thats for sure. But you might be right. Still, I'm pretty sure that Germany has the cheapest cars in the world.

Jonas, i didn't want to attack you. But is is a fact, MB, BMW, Audi, Porsche and VW sell their cars cheaper in some countries than in germany.

Ansgar.. If a Mercedes Benz is cheaper in US then in Germany, then why are 50% of all cars in Germany Mercedes and BMW? And only a very low number of cars in USA ? - That doens't quite add op. The cars are cheaper in Germany then in most country's. 16 % is lower than en America, thats for sure.

An F50 in Denmark cost's 1.5 million dollars.
And the price on the F50 I gave, was only a shot on what it could be, not what it was. Please read my posts proberly before you attack me.

Jonas,

For 150.000 Euro i'll come home tomorrow with a F50 instead of a 360 F1. But like Ansgar said they are at +/- 450.000 Euro.

It looks as if he parks his cars based on colors. silver here, red over there....etc. it mustbe nice to have so many cars that you can park them based on color, so many that people will actually notice that you did that.

Jonas, excuse me, but that germany has the cheapest cars in the world is completely bullshit. For a new Mercedes Benz for example you pay a lot more, than perhaps in U.S.A. On new cars you have to pay 16 % VAT like on most other products.

If you want to know how much a F50 costs at Singen, use this:

Small World.

The pictures are from 'Randy's trip to Germany' . Well I am the one who went with Randy to Germany last month. This is one of his pictures of me:

Both buying my ticket to the lap the Nurburgring (my 3rd time there this year) and standing in front of the entrance to Nurburg with castle Nurburg in the background.

I must say that the Auto Salon in Singen is something to behold. Don't be fooled, they move A LOT of cars.

ohh, believe me.. There ain't staying there for very long. The exotic car sales in Germany are so high, I would say that they sell at least 3 a day.

You would have to see it with your own eyes. The cars og coming and going.

Your both right.

They don't pay taxes on their cars. Only other things. And off course as TomD said. But the demand wouldn't be that big if it wasn't for the taxes, which isn't there.

Here in Denmark (neighbourgh, or how its spelled, to Germany) we have the biggest taxes on cars. 80% :-) Go figure

Is there any reason why exotics cost more in the US than in Germany? Is it due to government taxes and levies, or just dealers' profits?

But those pictures don't even show half of the dealer. The are just as many outside, and in there warehouse next to the shop. I would say they have around 130 Ferrari's alone.

As said they had 4 F50's and 2 F40's when I where there. I found some (Not mine) where they have 3 F50's

I don't know what the price on the F50 is, but it's not high. Germany has the cheapest cars in the world. You can buy a Ferrari for the same price as you pay for a Crown Victoria in the U.S So as you can imagine there's alot of supercars in Germany.

My bid for that F50 : 150.000

Ton,

That's what I mean. During my student days in London, taking the car across the channel to drive on the Continent was a rather nervewrecking experience.

I thought that was once a study done about left-hand drive being scientifically more desirable than right-hand drive. But I am not sure.

Bart,

Would you be so kind to have a closer look at the 328 GTS's that they have? They have send me some pictures through email and want me to believe that all the cars are in supreme condition (although there are some large price differences).

I would be very grateful if you could tell me your opinion about the cars.

regards,

Ton

many of the cars in their stock are sold on commission (is this right in english ???), means these cars belong still to the original owner.

I have been there in person.. The worlds largest exotics dealer. You really can't believe it before you've been there yourself.

When I was there, they had like 4 F50's and 2 F40's in their showroom, and all other ferrari's in multiple numbers.. HEAVEN.

So stop by the town; "Singen" in the sourthern Germany, and you will find that shop :-)
