there is nothing on formula1.com about this. formula1.com which was unsuccessfully sued by F-1 for infringement has recently sold itself to F1. I gues if you can't sue them - buy them :-) I would think they would report any news like this

Did you see him against Montoya? He is so cool! Just like me at 190. Michael is the best. I really hope that we will see him for a long time.

Jack I went to www.AtlasF1.com nothing mentioned. As I said, this was an e-mail I got citing AtlasF1 as the source but I did not see anything to substatiate this. Like I said, April Fools or truth, it is an interesting thought, Chris

You didn't read the whole article. Actually, this will be his last "paid" year. He will compete in 2003 without a retainer! It's his way of giving something back.

I am hoping it this is a April fools joke, but I just got an e-mail that Michael announced his retirement at the end of 2002 due to the careless nature of the new "immature" drivers that have joined Formula 1 in the last couple of years. Ralf Schmuacher is rumored to be his replacement in 2003. A press conference was supposedly held in Germany today. Can't confirm, must be April fools joke, comments? (we needed something new to talk about anyway)
