I've used Nittos on the track with VERY good results... BUT, I can't speak to their street-only tires. In a street tire, I VERY MUCH like the Pilot Sports or the F1's. Michelin is coming out with new rubber for the Viper SRT that is supposed to ourpace the Sport AND the F1. If you can wait, check into it, or if you need 'em now, I'd say the F1's or the Pilot Sports. |

Sorry Mitchell but Nitto are not cheap for a reason, they are junk and grip like plastic tires, very poor traction and if anyone who has ever put these tire to the track would definately tell the same. Most of the Jap cars that use them and I highly doubt if they had any track experience at all would know they don't grip. You wouldn't want to risk losing control in your car. I know a person of Adam who is sponsored by Nitto but in no way it's the same tire you use for the street, totally different rubber compound. The common street Nittos are terrible, including the 555 series. I would put Nittos on the bottom of the list over any known brand name. |

I find them fitted on Japanese souped out cars a lot. Don't have the correct fitment or any of my cars so I pass on them. I would not call them junk, but possibly a second tier tire supplier like Sumitomo (which I do use). First tier tires are Michelin, Firestone, Yokohama, Goodyear and the likes. |
